- parnership includes FUNDING and MARKETING coming from Apple
- the same chip used on PlayStation's next handheld might be used for PSVR3, gonna be its own standalone device
- several Xbox games already have builds for PlayStation
- Sony doesn't want to bolster Xbox's business since next Xbox might use Windows as a base
- talks is to drop support for tentpole games and only port/develop Live Service titles like Helldivers 2 for Windows PC

I would be 100% okay with that. Hopefully, this rumor is true.

You need to first buy the games on Steam..and also have a Boosteroid subscription.
it still sucks that the competitor can play these games no matter if it's streaming only, Sony needs to block their games from Boosteroid, period.

Much better than MS, but both are evil and garbage companies Microsoft and Apple but at least Apple has some finesse.

I think the games which already appeared on Steam could likely be ported to Mac OS abd iOS. But completely new ganes for PS at the same time on Apple devices? Hard to believe. Maybe Apple gets some sort of port priority exclusivity before Steam.

Trigger you nippin'

Xbox sells hundreds and "selling out" means diddly squat when the inventory could be hundreds. Both metrics hit and both pathetic.

Memba when people on this forum said PS5 sales were poor and we were hit with "muh launch aligned pee ess four!!!"
Well, pepperidge farm remembers.

Remember this, PS5PRO will flop. GTA6 will be a disaster and not be able to sell PRO consoles like many believe.

Sony is the new Microsoft. It's Joever.

And Steam Deck 2 will be the best selling hardware

So assuming this rumor's true, it has any substance to it, and if it goes anywhere...this could be a great partnership for both parties.

>ADAPTATIONS: Apple funding live-action adaptations of SIE games & IP, either exclusively or first available on Apple+. Others (i.e anime adaptations) Apple+ & Crunchyroll Day 1. Others still for theaters. Apple+ & Crunchyroll subscription package, etc.

>GAMES SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Apple assisting in funding of titles in exchange for first/exclusive rights to adaptations and/or utilizing some portion of SIE to develop games based on Apple+ original IP for distribution on PlayStation, iOS and (more sporadically) macOS.

>GAMES HARDWARE: SIE still utilize AMD for SOC design (maybe with some custom Apple silicon integrated in terms of NPU, etc.); arrange split production & distribution deal with Apple. SIE distribute PlayStation consoles in markets like Asia (Japan, China, South Korea), Middle East etc. while Apple distribute PlayStation consoles in USA, Canada, most of Europe etc. Agreement where Apple & SIE can leverage PlayStation silicon for unique SKUs as long as all equivalent SKUs can play the same games at expected settings/performance. I.e Apple can make an iPhone playing PS6 games at PS6 Portable settings, or a Macbook that can play PS6 games, in both cases by integrating PS6 hardware & OS into respective devices.

>GAMES REVENUE SPLITS: Apple retain larger (i.e 12% or 15%) cut on B2P & MTX revenue sales of games in territories where Apple-manufactured PlayStations are distributed. SIE/Sony retain larger (i.e 20% or 25%) cut on B2P & MTX revenue sales of games in territories where Sony-manufactured PlayStations are distributed. Arrangement assumes SIE still handle the day-to-day operations of gaming side including 3P relations (Apple are hands-off here).

>SERVICES: SIE add PS+ & PSN functionality to Apple+ and Apple Arcade. Apple+ & Apple Arcade subscribers can stream PS games via PS+ benefits. Select Crunchyroll content for Apple+ subscribers. Select Apple+ content for PS+ subscribers (well, this already exists so just reiterating).

>PORTS:

>MAC OS/iOS
SIE shift to prioritize cloud streaming of 1P games either Day 1 (especially for games based on Apple+ original IP) or within 1-2 years; with PS+ benefits integrated to Apple+ & Apple Arcade subscribers they can stream PS games (DualSense supported). MacOS ports of GAAS titles Day 1 (I guess through a MacOS gaming storefront in partnership with Apple); traditional AA to MacOS either Day 1 (Apple original IP), or within 1-3 years (other).
Traditional AA to iOS/Apple Arcade either Day 1 (Apple original IP), or within 2-3 years (other). Traditional AAA to MacOS either within 1-2 years (Apple original IP) or 2-4 years (other; some should be even longer-gapped). Traditional AAA to iOS either within 1-3 years (Apple original IP; some games may not be ported) or 3-5 years (other; some could take longer, some may not get ported). Remaster collections (old games): some Day 1 (iOS, MacOS), some within 6 months, most 2-3 years.
>WINDOWS (Steam, EGS etc.)
For Windows (e.g Valve's Steam, etc.): select GAAS Day 1 (Steam, EGS), others 1-2 years later; some may not get ported. Traditional AA: some Day 1 (Steam, EGS), some within 1-3 years, some 4+ years, many never. Traditional AAA: some within 4-6 years (maybe 2-4 years for remakes), some 6+ years, most never. Remaster collections (for old games): some Day 1 (Steam, EGS), some within 6 months - 1 year, many 3-4+ years.
>NINTENDO/XBOX
For Nintendo/Xbox (assuming next Xbox runs Xbox OS builds of new games): select GAAS Day 1, some 1-2 years later, some never. Traditional AA: some Day 1 (Nintendo), some within 1-4 years (Nintendo, Xbox), most never. Traditional AAA: few within 4-6+ years, most never. Remaster collections: some Day 1, some within 1 year, many 3-4+ years.

Sony and Apple are very similar and Apple is the only company of the trillion dollar club that I could ever see acquire Sony at some point which would be awesome because it would then become a trillion dollar war between Apple and Microsoft. See, the classics never die. lol

They wouldn't acquire Sony they'd acquire playstation.. yeah how great would it be for a playstation to be under another American conglomerate instead of a Japanese company 🤡
