How am I going to follow the story if I don't play the first first?

The story in the TLOU2 is a start to end… it gives you the background you need to play.

That is why it is a new game lol

You can buy it today, play it without ever buying TLOU and get the whole story of the game.

I'm one of those true gamers, you know. They come out with Horizon: Forbidden West and while the graphics look sweet I can't just SKIP Horizon: Zero Dawn, can I? It's a continuation of the same story. Why would I just skip ahead?

It's like you say about the Elden Ring DLC... you need 30-40 hours because who's going to CHEAT by skipping right to it using online guides? Well, if online guides are cheating I'm certainly not going to SPEND MONEY to skip ahead in a game's story to part 2 am I? We're not CHEATERS, right?

Who said I did that? I was arguing to you it's possible. Because you said it's REQUIRED to play for 30-40 hours, and that's not true. I did not argue that's how I did it.

Hey, stop editing your posts, I almost miss this stuff you say. I didn't say TOTK is the same game as BOTW. I called it BOTW DLC. I think it's very large, very well done DLC. I don't know what new game engine means, it's the Lunchpak one they used for splatoon to my knowledge, plays exactly the same as BOTW except it has silly physics stuff. New story? SOTE has that. Gameplay? SOTE has that. Weapons? SOTE has that. Events? Not sure what this refers to, like what are the TOTK events? New areas? YES, SOTE is entirely new areas, all of it, 100%, TOTK is not 100% new areas, it has new areas though, for sure. Characters? YUP, there are no repeated NPCs in SOTE, no bosses you saw in the base game either, TOTK is full of NPCs and enemies you fought before though.

If I can't select it from an OS main menu then it's not a 2024 new game experience. This is very important to me.
