Yes, what was it? Sony only releases games on a Friday you say? 😂
Sony;

Drunk Hold My Beer GIF

That is a good other reason, but my initial thought was much cheekier to a certain planetary spacefaring opus (which I still hope turns out well, I do like me some scifi).

My bet is that GOWR will barely break 90 on Metacritic, if so. It will have all those beautiful magazines where the reviewer played 30 seconds, zero trophies, and award it a 6/10.

Even if Stevivor does that crap it won't matter, if they try it then Metacritic might finally blacklist them too.

I have a PlayStation 4 Pro which I have no interest in getting this for I'll just get it on PC

I'd argue consoles are, depending on the genre, better gaming platforms than PCs, simply due to convenience. Not all of us have PCs in the living room, and consoles are affordable enough for a lot of people to enjoy living room gaming.

Also, some games just feel more comfortable to play on console IMO. The big story-driven action-adventure style games, I can't imagine playing those on a small monitor. Or sitting in a "gaming chair", either.

Or, stuff like RTS games, just feels better with a mouse and keyboard at a desk. And yeah, pricing for consoles by and large, for what you are getting, is always something they will have over PC (not to mention better stability; dunno how stable W11 is now but W10 has produced some annoying issues here and there with USB devices locking up services and needing reboots, or Retroarch not shutting down correctly forcing a reboot, etc).

Who's begging lol? These releases are a certainly. I'm not asking for the game, I'm telling you where I'm going to buy it.

They aren't a certainty; Sony do not have blanket conversion dates for their games to PC, or even what specific games are getting PC ports. There aren't any timetables, and for what games do get PC ports, could be 2+ years out, even upwards 4.

The only 1P games you can probably count on getting Day 1 ports or within a year from initial release are the live-service GaaS titles, of which GOW Ragnarok is not one of them. Is the probability good that Ragnarok eventually gets a PC port? Yes. But I personally don't see the point in mentioning that for a possibility that is 2+ years out from even being a reality.

EDIT: I hope this response isn't seen as being negative, I'm just kind of at odds with stating an intent to buy something on a platform that won't see the game for at least a couple of years. Unfortunately a lot of people these days have used it as another way of silly console warring, as if to say they won't buy it on X platform out of spite.

But if you're just genuinely interested in playing the game on PC for the reasons you prefer, then that's cool. No problem. It might take a little while but you'll most likely eventually get to play it on a 4090 😉

got bored one of these past saturdays and put on the Jeff grubb show thing on youtube. They were asked a question and him and the other chubby guy responded, “yeah, idk i think the back of the year is kind of dry, theres nothing that could possibly come out that has a chance to really makes waves or steal headlines” cause of the starfield and zelda delay

They said that with a straight face. 😬

You listen to enough paid shills you would really think Playstation and Xbox are in the same position this gen as far as games go

GoW early to mid game.
"It is cool to have different weapons... the Axe is cool and great to play"

GoW mid to end game.
"Blades of Chaos... fuck... how I played the game without it until... that fucking Axe is useless"

That was my reason.

The Axe is slow, boring and to nothing to me.
Blades of Chaos is the best weapon Kratos ever used... it is fast, visceral, fucking massive killer weapon a God like Kratos should use.
Only shifted to Axe to use Rune because the Cooldown on Blades of Chaos runes lol

The moment you play with Blades of Chaos you will understand why no other weapon have any utility in this game... it elevates the gameplay combat to God levels.
I like the blades better than the Axe but I'm definitely a sword guy. Having said that though, I hope the next game shows some dismemberment moves. It would be great on a final attack, you can sever limbs and it not be just a part of some animation.

No problem with PC for me, it's a great platform for gaming. But so is PlayStation. Dunno why people can't just go where the games they want to play are, instead of port-begging like elitist warriors. Pretty sure most people can afford multiple gaming devices these days, damn 🤣
It's technically not port-begging if you know that something will release on it 100% and you are just waiting on it's time to release. "I'll just wait on the PC version" is now actually viable. Before if something was released and one said "I hope they make this for the PC.", would be considered port-begging IMO.
