I wish Xbox released some 3rd party action adventures, the XSX is living on hopes and dreams lol

Next year, the biggest gamer ever is dropping for Xbox. That game will sell over 30 million copies mark my words.
You laugh at Xbox now but when all of their big 1st party mega seller drops, it will be to much for Sony to handle.

PS5 won't sell the most. The Nintendo Switch is selling the Most.
A roughly 5 million unit lead is basically nothing, that can all change within 1 month.

I have trouble comparing Switch these days when people didn't combine Gameboy and Nintendo home console sales in the past.

Nintendo from their perspective traded 2 markets for 1 market.. which was a smart/streamlined choice.. but the mobile factor is why the Switch sells so well.

All the kids I know (and despise) have switches that never get plugged into a TV.. as do many of my friends who have a Switch, I think I'm the only person who I've ever actually witnessed having it plugged in.

Not saying you can't or shouldn't compare them.. but it's still a little "off" to me compared to when people didn't combine mobile + home markets before.

My point was a huge portion of Nintendo buyers aren't considering Xbox/Playstation an option because they want a mobile device.. so they aren't fully "direct" competitors with Sony in the console market.

Hence why we don't sit around talking too much about how 3rd party games do on Switch.. it's understandable people want to compare them.. they are in the "console market".. but they are like playing a different game / targeting different consumers.

Sony has been able to just focus on beating Microsoft because of that.. Nintendo hasn't tried to make a device that really went to to toe with Playstation since the Gamecube.

he hasn't done such a bad job, besides the pity PC ports, and the impending live service model, which I can't comment on because it hasn't happened yet.

other than than that he keeps his mouth shut, doesn't engage with fanboys on twitter, and is just generally kept from the public eye.

He lacks the rockstar status of Shuhei or Gio but that's done by design so that a cult of personality doesn't develop, and he can't gain sway over Sony's board. (Credit - Colin Moriarty, Sacred Symbols podcast - for drawing to attention to this.)

anyways, not much to say about Jim, yet. the next few years will show what his legacy actually looks like. But, I have a feeling he'll step down or be replaced soon, doesn't seem like a long-laster imo.
