Not at all. Uncharted 4 was heavily bundled Holiday 2016 for example. It was their Black Friday deals and then it got the $299 temporary discount so they sold millions in just a few monthsTlou 2 also have similar treatment

Tlou 2 also have similar treatment

A result of being released 6 years earlier, no doubt!
TLOU 1 and Uncharted 4 were bundled WAY more.
Yow broski are using xbots argument ( of uncharted 4 can only do well because of bundles now)?
TLOU 1 and Uncharted 4 were bundled WAY more.
Bundles helped but I never said it only sold well because of bundles. You said TLOU 2 received similar treatment by showing a LImited Edition TLOU 2 bundle, I'm debunking that claim because UC4 was bundled way more.Broski gona use xbots argument ( of uncharted 4 can only do well because of bundles now)?
Airbus has been fucking the "TLOU2 underperformed massively" chicken for YEARS. It was part of what got him booted off of GAF. Don't even try to argue with him about it, in his world TLOU2 is a flop.Bundles helped but I never said it only sold well because of bundles. Come on now. Bundles are a good way to get people who probably wouldn't have bought a game into playing it. No one implied Uncharted 4 needed bundles to sell. But you guys keep comparing its sales to that of TLOU 2... without context and rationality lol.Yow broski are using xbots argument ( of uncharted 4 can only do well because of bundles now)?
Smart moves from you dragging this into bundlesBundles helped but I never said it only sold well because of bundles. You said TLOU 2 received similar treatment by showing a LImited Edition TLOU 2 bundle, I'm debunking that claim because UC4 was bundled way more.
I just like to see how far people go when facts are thrown at them.Airbus has been fucking the "TLOU2 underperformed massively" chicken for YEARS. It was part of what got him booted off of GAF. Don't even try to argue with him about it, in his world TLOU2 is a flop.
Did you say TLOU 2 received similar treatment or not?Smart moves from you dragging this into bundles
But end of the road uncharted 4 sitting at 18 million and tlou 2 at 10 million
Carry on, then!I just like to see how far people go when facts are thrown at them.
No GT7
Its time to admit tlou 2 underperformed compared to tlou1

You replied to someone who mentioned bundles and you showed a picture of TLOU 2 bundle saying it received similar treatment.
How am I dragging this into bundles when you mentioned it?
Smart moves from you dragging this into bundles
But end of the road uncharted 4 sitting at 18 million and tlou 2 at 10 million ( almost got beaten by ghost of tsushima) the game which i dont remember receives any bundles
Looking at that comparison, The Last of Us Part II is actually curbstomping Uncharted 4 on a sales over time comparison.I'm pretty sure you're trolling. The data from the slides is from February 2022.
Uncharted 4 released in May 2016, meaning it sold 18M copies in 5 years and 9 months.
The Last of Us 2 released in June 2020, meaning it sold 10M copies in 1 year and 8 months.
Stop with this charade and face the evidence
Also, looking at GoT and saying "It sold almost as much as TLOU2 therefore the later is a flop" is a disservice to the former, who became a much bigger hit than expected.Looking at that comparison, The Last of Us Part II is actually curbstomping Uncharted 4 on a sales over time comparison.
Yeap. It's funny to see the same people on GAF show up in every single Naughty Dog/The Last of Us Part II thread just to downplay the sales figures. They're going to keep downplaying it with every single sales announcement for Part II.
Anyways.. lol
The player count back in Nov 2020 had The Last of Us Part II players at 7.2M and it surpassed 10 million copies in (most likely) March 2022. Copes doesn't mean sales, but I'm going to assume that the sales figures were very close to that mark.
That's 2.8m copies in 1.4 years. Sales slowed down in 2021 but increased from March 2022 to April 2023.
I shared this data before so I'll do it again.
2020
November - US 8th - EU - 7th | Player tracker shows 7.2m million players
2021
April - EU - 12th
August - EU - 16th
October - EU - 11th
November - US - 16th - EU - 6th
2022
March - US - 15th - EU - 13th | Last of Us Part II sold over 10 million copies | Leak data shows 9.93 million by the end of Feb
April - US - 14th - EU - 11th |
August - US - 10th - EU - 7th
September - US - 11th - EU - 15th | Last of Us Part I Release Date
November - US - 4th - EU - 4th | 12th GSD Europe
December - US - 7th - EU - 5th - JP - 15th
2023
January - US - 7th - EU - 7th | Last of Us Show TV Premiere
February - US - 1st - EU - 1st - JP - 9th | 18th NPD | 7th GSD Europe
March - US - 9th - EU - 10th | Season Finale
April - US - 1st - EU - 1st - JP - 15th | 5th GSD Europe
July - US - 12th - EU - 11th
The Last of Us Part II didn't chart on the GSD Europe or NPD charts from Nov 2020 to March 2022, but we can see that it charted 3 times in Europe and once on the NPD charts. The being 18th on the NPD charts seems low, but it was $10 during February and NPD is based on revenue.
If this game sold 2.8 million copies in 1.4 years then no doubt it sold way more than that from April 2022 to April 2023. This game may be around 15m copies sold and this is before the Remaster release. Do they count an upgrade as a copy sold? Probably not, but hopefully we get a sales update sometime next year.
