You guys are becoming tiring.
Let's see what this does after the movie comes out probably this summer and again when it ends up streaming on Netflix next October. Especially once this drops in price.
Like clearly you don't understand the following
- Concurrent users is not a good benchmark for sales, certainly not long term sales
- PC games don't need to sell numbers at launch
- These PC ports do not need to recoup the entirety of development costs, simply the port costs
- Sony's transmedia strategy is the big reason for these remakes/remasters
- This game was not super expensive for Ballistic Moon to develop and for Sony to publish
- This is how you test out new studios, not every game is going to be successful, especially the first attempts for a studio, but this is how you build out your 1st and 2nd party relationships in a cost effective manner
- This is not a new strategy for Sony
As for Ballistic Moon, Sony is probably done with them, hence why they've laid off half their staff. Probably just enough to do some maintenance on the game. Ultimately it is a shame, it would have been a good opportunity for them to have brought this to PSVR2.
