Red dead redemption. Damn the upgrade for RDR,2 was massive. Still enjoyable though.

I'd argue it even looks worse than. GTA IV PC. Maybe rockstar didn't have much faith I. RDR back then.

I started playing Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 recently. Will update once I've completed the game.
Finished Hellblade 2. Game was around 8~9 hours playing slowly.

All and all, I thought they did an alright job with the game. The visuals were nice, though there were some moments when I felt the ground textures were not quite right. Not that the first game's combat was particularly compelling, but I felt the sequel's was equally lackluster, though there were many fun cinematic transitions between the fights.

As with the first game, it's nice to just walk around and listen to storytime from the trees and such. That said, I did feel the game was a bit too familiar with the first, and several aspects felt rehashed both narratively and mechanically. In the first game, Senua spends the entirety of the game alone. The nature of her mental health lends some narrative rationality for the fantastical nature of the world you traverse. In the second game, Senua is frequently traveling with companions, and sharing experiences with them. To preserve the "lore" of the world they've established, the game asks you to take a major narrative leap of faith for the majority of the game. There is a major narrative reveal in the final act which serves to explain the shared experiences; however, I found it incredibly tenuous at best.

While I'm not sure it was a story which needed to be told, the only time dislike of the game crept in was during a couple fatal errors, which forced me to replay parts chapters. I think it's a decent buy on sale, but even then it would not be a game I recommend for all players.

After 2 nostalgia trips with Dark Cloud and Toy Story 2, today I started Route 96 and have enjoyed it so far.

Didn't want to start something "bigger/longer" before my vacation on Tuesday. After that, I will visit a small little town called Silent Hill....

Red Dead Redemption. I am almost 25 percent complete. It's good but damn RDR2 makes it look like a PS2 game. Hell even vanilla GTA IV PC looks better.
And I am not feeling the story as much as with RDR2. That game was a masterpiece.

Nothing... Waiting for the new speed run level in Astro.

Suggest something for me to play! 🙏
So, I'm not certain your degree of console flexibility, but I'm just finishing up a pretty fun game, called Tactical Breach Wizards.

It's a pretty goofy tactics and strategy game, where you play as a motley squad of special forces. The twist? They're all wizards (spell casters), and they play it up for comedic effect in the campaign.

The game is a collection of missions, which are something akin to tactical puzzles, each including main objectives and optional bonus objectives. You'll face off against antagonists like Steve Clark, the necromatic traffic cop, who's on the take with a criminal enterprise. Steve Clark channels the spirits of ghost trucks, which he launches across the field at your team.

I'm reaching the end about 30 hours in, but that's also pursuing side missions. I feel good generally recommending this, regardless of whether someone is super into puzzles and strategy.

I'll give it a look when I can, thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, it's been a while...I should drop in.

Just started Dragon Age. Great visuals, cringe voice acting (protags is quite nice though), combat feels like it has potential.
