My usual Fighting games T7, SFV, GGST and Genshin (super excited for 3.0)

Been quite hard to find a game after Persona 5 Royale. This game make everything look like a lowtier joke.
I just bought a bunch of cheap ps3 fightan games: Super Street Fighter IV, Virtua Fighter 5, Tekken 6 & Soulcalibur V. Do you have any thoughts on those?

Persona 5 was my favourite game I played last year. I'm waiting for the ps5 version to buy the royal version

All those are great fighting games, i don't think you'll find players online for those games tho, but you'll have a lot of fun Solo.

Tekken 6 has by far the best costumes in the franchises, really miss those. God lord i pray they won't blow it in Tekken 8.

I will be playing them solo/couch versus mode. I heard the single player in T6 is very good. Thanks fren

Playing Cyber Heist expansion for The Ascent. I love the base game so this is just more for me. Enjoying it thus far. Have already put in 4 hours and still early on.

Playing a lot of Smite.

I only like the basic Arena mode, I find the mode's that are more like a big MOBA map to be boring as hell.

Anyone play that game? So many "gods" to choose from.. and really pretty crazy balanced when it comes down to it.

Yakuza Like a Dragon.
Like OG the brawler type of game play more than this.
This game auto plays itself.

Copied my post from XboxEra for anyone who may be interested in Steel Rising which releases in two weeks as I have barely seen anyone mention this game.

For anyone who is interested in Steel Rising, there’s a closed Beta available with the digital pre-order which as far as im aware can be cancelled prior to the game releasing on September 8th as it’s not considered a refund request due to the game not being released yet. Anyway, I pre-ordered the $50 standard version at GameStop last week but then pre-ordered the $60 Bastille Edition digitally for Xbox Series X and gotta say, went through the entire Beta in around 5 hours and wanted to keep playing. It’s really good.

Visuals won’t blow anyone away but are still in that 8-8.5 range. Environments look good along with the atmosphere. I’m also in the locale. Audio is solid. I would say that the voice acting and lip syncing is better than GreedFall and granted, it’s not an AAA blockbuster but no major issues with it. Story and characters seem interesting through the first two areas but obviously, too early to know for sure.
Combat and gameplay wise though, yeah, you can tell that it’s an AA budgeted game, however, the combat and control of Aegis feels more fluid and responsive especially when compared to GreedFall. You can also customize the controller configuration so for anyone like me who prefers to use the X/Y buttons for light/heavy attacks instead of RB/RT, you can do so.

The real difference for Steel Rising is that while combat is definitely a souls game, you can adjust “assist” options. There’s four options -

1. Adjust damage given by enemies. This is based on percentage. 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. 0% is normal and the default level. For example, my health was 200HP. If a single enemy attack was to take away 100HP and you have this set at 50%, their attack would only take away 50HP. For anyone who wants to be invincible, you can set this to 100% and no attack even by bosses will take off any health from you.

2. Retain Anima Essence Upon Death. This is basically your “souls” that when you die, you lose it and then have to get it back. However, this is an on/off option which allows you to retain your Anima Essence when dying. This is literally the number one reason why I decided not to pass on Steel Rising since im not a souls guy. I don’t mind respawning enemies or the tougher combat but losing what I spent potentially hours to gain when dying, fuck that shit. So obviously, I have this set to on. This option alone by itself made me enjoy Steel Rising Beta and look forward to the full game in two weeks.

3. Stamina Regeneration Speed. This is percentage based. 100% which is default. 200% and 300%. Basically this speeds up how fast your stamina bar refills after using it. I had this set to 200%. Pretty quick. I’m not waiting around 20+ seconds for my stamina to regenerate. I didn’t try the default level. I probably should have. Maybe tomorrow.

4. Rapid Cooling. This is an option that when your stamina is fully depleted, Aegis will begin to overheat due to being an Automaton. When this happens, your stamina bar will regenerate and if you press RT when the bar is filling up, you’ll gain back that amount of stamina instantly instead of having to wait for the entire bar to fill. Think of it like when reloading in Gears of War and you get a perfect reload which refills your clip completely. Turning this on will automatically refill your stamina regardless of when you press RT as the bar is filling up. This I messed around with but kept it off as me having the regeneration set to 200% is very generous.

Based on earlier and more messing around tomorrow, I will probably have the damage given set to 50%, Anima Essence retained when killed, Stamina regen will test at 100% default tomorrow. If I don’t like it, I will keep it at 200%. Rapid Cooling I will keep disabled as I don’t really need it. Below is a good preview of the game from June that has much more info on the game.

Anyway, Steel Rising will be the first souls game that im looking forward to playing due to the fact that they include “assist” options which allows me to play the game my way.
I know a few people here were interested in Steel Rising but turned off due to it being a souls like game so with that said, is anyone interested in the game or is it just me?

I've been playing Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition lately. I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I'm loving the 2D mode after playing about 20 hours. I got the regular edition of the game a couple years ago and didn't like it because the old school music really clashes with the 3D art style, but in 2D mode I think it's less jarring and more appropriate when paired with the old school graphics.

I finished Batman Arkham Asylum and I played a fair bit of Soulcalibur V, Tekken 6 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (2010). I'm still going through Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, the difficulty seems to spike pretty hard and I can only play in like one hour sessions these days, I seemed to get bored quicker than I did when I was younger.

I also just started Ratchet and Clank Size Matters on PS Vita and I want to play Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning

I got alot of gaming done on my day off. Beat xenoblade chronicles 3 and cyberpunk. Highly enjoyed both of them. I know cyberpunk had alot of issues at launch, but now thats its patched, I'd recommend it if you got a next gen console or decent pc.

FUK!! I wanted to fire up Soukyugurentai for a little bit waiting for some food to arrive, got to the last level on single credit. That's the best I've done so far and probably would've beaten it if not fighting literal flies and mosquitos at the same damn time. Kind of hard to focus on weaving around patterns when things are near your face and biting you (I'm outside, obviously).

Gonna play some Shining Force III and probably some more HFW later today. Almost done with the former, this last chapter looks like it'll be a notable step up difficulty-wise though so just spent a lot of time making some weapons and items and readying for the 2nd Force unit that comes into play halfway towards the end. HFW, I'm going to focus on the main story missions for the time being, forage for some supplies to get some extra skill points (I don't think I need to redistribute any points, feel pretty good about my skill balance in it at this point).

I'm taking a break from Skyrim and have moved back to Fallout 4. I have trouble finishing these games for some reason and am trying to complete them both. I'm having fun with the game, going for the Minutemen ending, but have come to realize that I'm not a fan of the Radiant quest system. I thought it was an interesting novelty when I first encountered it in Skyrim years ago - the idea that a quest could change locations seemed like it would keep the game fresh. Now, though, I'm spending time thinking of ways to circumvent receiving those kinds of quests in FO4 because they're often buggy and always boring. I doubt it will happen, but it would be good if Bethesda just dropped this quest system completely. It's just pointless busy work and, if I let it, would take all my time in the game.

Other than that, I'm having fun exploring and building up my character.

I got TMNT The Cowabunga Collection in the mail today and played it a bit on my lunch break. What a blast from the past! The visuals and gameplay are identical to how it was when I played Manhattan Project on the NES way back in the day - really takes me back.

The physical PS4 version has a free PS5 upgrade, which is always welcome. I haven't gotten a chance to compare the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, but I'm sure it just has faster load times and higher resolution on the PS5 version. As these games are pixel based, I find myself wondering if the higher resolution is even necessary. Glad I picked up the PS4 version of this over the PS5 version.

I'm a huge fan of the added accessibility options, such as the option to enable god mode and infinite lives, and the rewind function. I know a lot of purists who played, and probably finished, these games back in the day without the use of cheats won't approve of using god mode, but I'm cool with it. I think I could play the games in this collection every day for the rest of my life and I'd still probably never be able to finish them without the use of cheats and rewind. I've never been very good at beat em up games, but I do find them fun, so it's nice to be given the chance to finally finish these classic games without having to worry about running out of lives and/or ripping my hair out.

My only gripe is that that they're rather inconsistent with what accessibility options are available for each game. I noticed some games in the collection allow you to pick the stage you start on, as well as enable god mode and various other extra options, while other games barely have any accessibility options. I know that they're working with games from a wide variety of platforms and even genres, but it would be nice to see some parity when it comes to the accessibility options.

Finished Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (PS3 HD Trilogy). I liked this game a lot. I think Going Commando is the best out of the ones I've played (2016, Rift Apart & Going Commando), and the graphics and artwork hold up really well on this HD Trilogy for PS3. The planets were more plentiful in Going Commando than the newer games, and it just seemed to feel better. It's kind of hard to explain. It just had a better game feel?

It felt a bit anti climactic because I spend like an hour and a half grinding bolts (currency), bought the best weapon and armour, and just absolutely destroyed the final stage and boss. The game spikes in difficulty a couple of times but if you grind bolts on Gorn you can buy the best shit and finish the game quite easily. The final boss is actually weaker than several bosses/enemies/sections in the game prior. I had to look up a walkthrough to see if I was actually done, but yep, the credits rolled.

I'm playing Kingdoms of Amalur now, and I like it. I did the opening mission, entered the game world proper and spent the next two hours doing sidequests and levelling up. Looking forward to the next Ratchet & Clank (Up Your Arsenal) already
