Ahh, I’m struggling with Assassins Creed Odyssey. It looks and plays kind of like Origins but it has no soul….it’s not a patch on Origins.

May need to drop it and I hate doing that.

I dropped it...much preferred Ghost of Tsu. Thinking about dropping Kingdoms of Amalur myself, it's just kinda repetitive and dull

Dropped Kingdoms of Amalur and started Steins;Gate. I'm about 3 hours into it. It's good. Got a trophy just for starting the game kek

Finally put some hours into Sword and Fairy. About 5 to be exact. Around the 3 hour mark, the game finally picked up story and character wise. I do wish that the game had American dubbing especially since even at extra large subtitles, they blend in with the game and you can't always make out what is being said. Other than that, the UI text needs to be enlarged. Seeing the main quest objective under the mini-map is so damn small. Other than those two issues, im enjoying the game thus far. Have done every side quest that popped up. World is beautiful but the pop-in is bad during cut scenes or when the camera pans around or zooms in/out. During gameplay, not as bad but still noticeable. Enjoying the gameplay/combat.
I'm loving Sword and Fairy and I agree with your criticisms. An English dubb would have really boosted the game for me but it's still sweet. I have around 20 hours in it so far. The story, visuals and combat are all to my liking

Glad you're enjoying it. It's a damn good game. I dropped it after 8 or so hours. Something like that. Reasons being, I played several hours of Xuan Yuan Sword 7 first which was a mistake as I should have just waited for Sword and Fairy, No English dubbing at all and No voice acting for the side quests. Just couldn't stay with the game.

Just waiting on Steel Rising this Thursday. Have played through the Beta four times. Today will be the fifth time as im testing out the assist options to see exactly how I want to play.

One change I made was that previously, I was going to play as the Alchemist class but after playing with the Dancer class yesterday, I have decided to go with this one as the Dancer class allows you to block incoming attacks and leaves the enemy staggered for a second or two allowing you to get in extra attacks.

Just based on the Beta, this game is already at least an 8.0/10 on my rating scale with 8.5/10 being highly likely once im playing through the full game with an outside shot at a 9.0/10 for me depending on how the story and characters play out.

One thing is for certain - just like Immortals Fenyx Rising is my own personal BOTW killer, Steel Rising will be my soulsringbournenioh killer. 😂

I mean it’s the same shit. Odyssey is the better game but it’s like a reskin.

I will never see why people claim Origins is better. It’s really not. Odyssey has better gameplay… story is forgettable in both. Bayek also yelled way too much.

Then again, even while I dumped about 80 hours on both games I’d still rate them both to be quite average and will most likely never want to play an asscreed game ever again because Ubisoft’s one size fits all, recycle the same game across every genre strategy is abhorrent.

I started Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City 10 years late to the party. I like it, it feels satisfying. I bet this would have been a lot of fun in co-op back in the day

It’s better for me because it’s probably 50% less busy.

For me, both are excellent 9.5/10 overall games. I replayed Origins last summer and Odyssey a few months ago. Odyssey's combat is better but there's more negatives than positives for me gameplay wise. There's no hay stacks anywhere to hide bodies in or like in Origins, hide yourself in, stand up and shoot enemies with arrows while still being "hidden". No real hunting in Odyssey compared to Origins. Love the hunting in Origins. Not a fan of the randomly generated quests in Odyssey that literally don't end. The bandit camps and tombs have about 3 or 4 layouts that constantly repeat throughout Odyssey where as in Origins, none of them are repeated. I also prefer the Phylakes over the Mercenaries.

Story and character wise, I love both but prefer Odyssey because it's a much longer main story with different sub stories where as Origins is just 23 main story quests. Love all the characters especially Aya. Bayek is real good and also like Kassandra (malaka!!!) too. Love both of these games and are easily better than Unity and Syndicate by far. At least for me anyway. Black Flag is still my best AC game though.

Hoping the rumored free crossover story for AC Origins with Aya is true since there's an expected crossover that's heavily rumored between Origins/Valhalla.

Can't wait for the Ubisoft Forward this Saturday!!! 😂

Will be starting Steel Rising at some point today. Really hyped for the full game since I really enjoyed the beta/demo enough to play through it five times.

After putting 60 hours into Dragon Quest XI S (I'm still only about ⅔ through the game :ROFLMAO:), I finally decided to play Yakuza 3 remastered. I've already played Zero, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2, so I was expecting more of the same. It's not necessarily a bad game... But it starts off SLOW! 3 chapters in and I'm kind of getting bored with it already, but I'm going to stick with it because I still have 3 more games in the series to play after this lmao hopefully it picks up and Kiryu stops playing Mr. Mom at the orphanage because it's boring as shit.

Don't think I'm gonna plat Horizon FW, I think I'll just do the remaining vaults / factory places and then move on cause I am dying to try out Terminator and Ghostwire and then hopefully be ready for Deathloop soon.

Playing Steel Rising. Played approximately 8 hours into the game today. It's real good but I think that I made it a little too easy by reducing the damage received by enemies which I have at 50%. Probably should have gone with 25% instead. Oh well. Enjoying pretty much everything thus far in the game. A few technical issues like enemies still standing after being killed but nothing major or serious thus far. May play a few more hours later tonight but if not, will play at least 6 hours tomorrow.

Beat DOOM (technically Ultimate DOOM as it included Thy Flesh Consumed) on XBOX Gamepass and PS5, then beat DOOM II on XBOX Gamepass and about a third of the way in on PS5. Also got a third of the way into DOOM 64 on XBOX Gamepass. On PS5 also played through the free expansion Nerve developed in 2010 called No Rest for the Living, really cool map designs, very intricate, they even boasted more intricate than was possible when DOOM originally released. I've gotta get to SIGIL but I've actually heard mixed things on it. This retro shooter kick has got me hankering for that Quake PS5 upgrade version they put out, 10 bucks right now... my finger wants to slip over buy but I'm going to try and beat everything I've got to play first.

lol damn! I liked that part though, it shows his softer side and that he was too abandoned as a child, thus will save those that are abandoned (tear rolls down cheek)
