I disagree with Kyle Bosman, he gives way too much leeway to Phil Spencer here. This guy is the CEO of a several dozen billion dollar corporation. No amount of, "well it was during the pandemic," or "he was just trying to shoot down the idea nicely" should be excused here. The email 100% exposes Microsoft's intent. If it were just a "sure jan, here's a headpat for that nice idea" we wouldn't be seeing Microsoft going on a $75 billion+ acquisition spree with the sole intent of foreclosing on its competitors.
Genki and other Xbox influencers hyped the event up to the moon making Xbox fans think FF7 Remake was coming to GamePass. After that awful event and no FF7R news, they couldn't be excited about anything. Some of those clowns woke up at 3AM to watch it

He literally said his former board member purchased over 1 billion dollars worth of stock and is encouraging Nintendo to create more shares so he they can buy even more.
