Decade-old games were not a joke. Mario Kart 8 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze are from 2014. If would do the same for playstation the list would be endless.no the discussion was what finding out what makes something crap?
If sales aren't the answer then we are just gonna sit here and say "well this game sucks because I don't like it"
Well it's time to grow up and realize just because you don't like something doesn't make it "crap"
stuff like concord flopping so hard to the point it shut down only two weeks after launch should send a message about what the market thinks of it
But here's the thing: everyone is different, so everyone is allowed to like what they like. Nintendo fans have been using this mantra as a shield since the Wii era. Perfect Dark was by every metric a better game than GoldenEye, yet it sold only one-fifth as much. It's not just about sales.
If it were only about sales and we follow that train of thought, then would FIFA, Madden, Call of Duty, NBA, Assassin's Creed, and GTA 5 be considered the best games?
Those franchises all found their success on PlayStation.
Decade-old games or yearly franchises might sell very well, but that doesn't make them comparable to games like Death Stranding, God of War Ragnarök, or The Last of Us 2.
As always, we have to ask the question: what games did you play last year?
