Sony must answer Microsoft acquiring strong single player IPs like CoD, Overwatch, Diablo and WoW. Clearly. Only way to do this now is to buy From Software and have them work on Last of Us spin-offfs.

He deserves praise for being the most successful console maker CEO in gaming history. No other one generated more revenue. He's growing all areas and expanding to new ones with big success, and the profit they generate will be bigger than the Nintendo one once they relax their heavy push on investments and their results become more noticiable.

The console soon will become again the fastest selling one ever and has record engagement and ARPU, as happens with their game subs. Their games sell more than ever and win a ton of awards.

But i infinitely support him more than FatClown PotBelly Phil Spencer. He does his job and shuts up, and of course he's outselling Phil DadBod by about 3:1, so he's doing something right.

Really unfair treatment he receives.

To see Jimbo getting unfair hate from xbox fans wouldn't surprise me. What surprises me is to see supposed PS fans spamming unfair and nonsensical hate against Jimbo/Hermen/Sony.

Even if he sold a Billion PlayStation's and cured cancer, you guys would still complain.

It's not that. It's just anything positive he's done, anyone in his position could have done as just like their job role - especially those that are setup from previous people's work. Kevin Butler could do his job, but at least he'd have the sense to go let's try this thing over here for you hardcore's. Hardcore gamers matter less, thats just the truth. People that consider themselves enthusiast spend less and complain more.

I'm not one to bend over backwards to display appreciation of some high level executive... But there is one thing Jim R. said in an interview that resonated with me, I will paraphrase but he basically said that Sony's studios have to strive to make culturally relevant games.

Also, there is no overwhelming talk about business models, monetization and the other distractions ms talks about all the time.

So yeah…. So far I feel far more confident in this guy than the people trying to convince me against basic logic. People would rather listen to the guy that dressed up in game tees and jeans. Everytime jim ryan says something ‘controversial’ in only a matter of months its proven true.

All the ‘anti-consumer’ things sony does is shortly followed by everyone else doing them.

He’s also been proven right multiple times over the course of this generation when people tried to drag him.

That Skill Up guy, I used to listen to his channel but at some point it turned into some GamePass shill channel, the guy just can't go without talking about it in his videos. As if that was something new or especially amazing to have.

He also gave Halo:I a great review score, and he stands behind the review check he got from MS without shame.

I don't know the others.

Concord has plenty of red flags:
- PVP multiplayer FPS announced with CG and no gameplay
- The CG itself is short, very unmemorable and uninspiring
- There is not even any gameplay details mentioned in text,
- First game from the studio
- Announced for PC/PS5

Well there's a lot of talent and legacy at the studio. I am willing to give them a fair chance to show the game. Playstation could use a new IP shooter hit. I hope for the best.

- Upcoming Horizon cartoony GaaS
- Deviation games GaaS in development hell
- Haven GaaS Fairgame$ for PC/PS5
- Firewalk GaaS Conrad for PC/PS5
- Marathon GaaS for PC/Xbox/PS5
- London Studio GaaS

Funny that GaaS people get to know about the games that are coming in advance but people that enjoy traditional games don't... almost as if those traditional games are actually few and far between and a long way from being released.

Like I said he make some minor mistakes.

But overall he was pretty great to PlayStation.
Imagine if it was somebody that tried to follow Xbox weird ideias.
