Anyone get the impression that Inside Gaming might have leaked these things to MLID and then corroborated it afterwards, so they could say it wasnt them that leaked it....
Smart of them if they don't want to be the source of the info and burn bridges. They all are definitely reading from the same script.

There is no much room to have a stronger APU limited by 250W target.
The hardware tech didn't evolve and the jump 6nm to 5/4/3nm has very little gain in terms of size and power consumption.

The jump will be way lower than PS4 to PS4 Pro that already was not that big.

BTW AMD following nVidia to give the "impression" that the GPU power is growing started to combined TFs and give bigger numbers like 30, 40, 50TFs but in fact RDNA2 15TFs performs better than RDNA3 30TFs (15TFs real).

Why some people here wanting to build PC, just me or I am opposite because I am old?

It 3 months in and I only touched my computer like twice. Personally deep down I want to sell it but I am kinda in too deep to VR so...

My small thin laptop could run and scroll AutoCAD smoothly without a fan, and battery could last a whole day.

I could use an iPad, scanned document and sent it over my laptop in like 5 secs. Then could sent that wirelessly and print.it.

Why do I even need a computer, for games, eh i have PS and Nintendo machines. PS5 Pro sould like perfect for me. Who cares if it is weaker than PCs with overpriced graphic cards from Taiwanese merchants.

Teraflops are not a good metric, they don't remain the same from one gen to the next of AMD tech. But the reason people are trying to downplay the figures is due to fear and they should be fearful because when this console launches, it becomes the best place to playthe biggest releases, with the most optimized games and many fully exclusive games...importantly GTA6.

It may not show the performance of 33 or more teraflops in every situation but don't be under any illusion, it will be a very noticeable step up... some people hype up GPU releases that come annually while trying to undermine this OPTIONAL upgrade that comes after 4 years.

I think there should be upgrades every 2-3 years for PlayStation TBH.

preach, i don't care if they introduce a Pro Max type of console, it's time to break this 500 dollar limit people put on consoles, we need to have more options for different types of people

It is dual-issues

AMD claimed that RDNA3 WGP could handle double amount of SIMD instructions per shader engines, well the bogus part is "handle" rather than "run" per one compute unit.

Personally I think PS5 Pro with be fabbed on TSMC N5. They would be able to order some from TSMC once 3nm FinFet is more widely available, right now Apple is having priority, which cause Nvidia to still waiting it to be freeze it.

Don't forget it will improve Backward Compatibality with future gen and testbed for new features. Super-sampling and checkerboard upscaling was PS4 Pro main feature last gen. Guess what all the PC players "love" it now.

The idea of using Teraflop as a measure of performance is already wrong by default of course that the Xbox idiots would try to spin this somehow.

Half a gen later and these idiots haven't learned anything.

If the PS5 Pro makes the PS5 look like a better value that isn't bad for Sony, the PS5 Pro is an optional upgrade.

Facts, Nividia does a much better job pushing their tech than anyone else.

Checkerboarding and re-projection were Sony early attempts to do the stuff that PC players now love more than anything else. Now, Sony, just like NVidia, will be trying to do it using machine learning too.
