minimum requirements is a 1070 at 30fps at 1080p. They said fps will drop in some places. a 1080 will perform better. a 1080 should be a stable 30fps

probably. Most open world games are more cpu intensive because of all the stuff that is going on at once.
Hmm I am 90% certain, they have advertised that the world is 4 times the original and open world games generally tend to be CPU bound. The graphics for both min and recommended are 8Gb. The CPU is more a bottleneck in this case
no wonder it looks like PS4 while running 1080p and barely 30fps. WTF they were thinking?

never said it was. Literally the official pc minimum requirements said 1070 30fps with fps dips. a 1080 is 25 percent faster than a 1070 on average. On pc you can tweak way more settings that affect fps. a 1080 should do 30-40 fps on average. And like i said. This game is more cpu heavy. So the cpu will do a lot of the heavy lifting. PC is a whole different ball game when it comes to specs and optimizations

I think Dragon's Dogma is the new Souls games regarding people acting with elitism saying they loved the first one and being big fans of Itsuno even if they didn't play the previous DD entries and have no idea about Itsuno's career outisde Dragon's Dogma 1 and maybe DMC5.
Independently if it deserves it or not, expect many people saying that it's going to be the GOTY.
Add here some anti-Sony fanboys overrating Dragon's Dogma because will want to move attention away from recent Sony exclusives like Rise of the Ronin, Helldivers 2, FFVIIR, etc.
P.S.: I'm the biggest Capcom fan and fully trust them, I think it will be a great game. But probably not the GOTY, one of the best games of the generation or best games ever as some will claim.

Dragon's Dogma after all was the original Elden Ring it's only right the sequel surpasses the student.
Elden Ring's Metacritic score is a bit too high as well.
I never said it was lol. I said it was the original Elden Ring both have similarities with how you uncover the lore, world and interact with the community.
DD is not Souls game, so it couldn't be Original Elden Ring. King's Field on other hand...

Both games are very similar in way with how you explore it, how the world reacts to you at specific times, the lore, I still think DD has ER beaten with magic, being able summon bosses...
