I understand that point...

But from my point of view even in a fire sale Series S is not selling what MS wants in US.
If you slash $50 in your product and put it at the $199 price point and can't sell more than $100-300 expensives products something is wrong.
they don't care, they only care about the subscription and its numbers.

Series S is just a gateway drug to gamepass and zero games ownership, all digital gaming, and earning MS another subscribed user.

all for under 1/2 the price of PS5, and still getting outsold.

I estimate Series S is over 80% of all series console sales.

in which case, in the enthusiast market, xbox is getting outsold 5:1.

Your facts looks more like incompetency.
I any case what I said is plain facts.
It is incompetency. MS have completely dropped the ball in every way possible since launch. They haven't released barely anything and Halo flopped....

Sony have released everything they have.. I posted all the games they released.. their biggest franchises and heavy hitters.. all of them are accounted for already... and yet they probably just barely outsold Xbox this past year in NA... lmao.

You keep saying things that aren’t true to make yourself feel better. Xbox is nowhere near close to anything PS5 sales wise.

crazy to think that if Xbox went toe to toe with Sony and only released the series x, they'd probably be out of business right now...

this is probably causing them a lot of headaches behind the scenes, and why you hardly ever see good graphics, AAA xbox games.

and why everything coming out of Xbox Game Studios looks like a saturday morning cartoon.

when your headliner is a $199 last gen system, there's not really much devs can do.

In the US... they absolutely are closer than what they should be given the complete lack of games.

And please.. tell me what is not true about saying MS hasn't released anything this gen... and the one thing they did release... was a free to play game that flopped...

Just saying....

PS5 to Series gap is probably around 3 million.
It is bigger than it was at the same period for PS4 to XB1.

If I tell you guys that impression Series was doing better than Xbox One was just because the late launched in only 13 countries and after first year it reached around 30 countries?

Series is probably tracking below Xbox One and it will start to track below 360 this year.

I don't understand people saying MS has barely released anything. They released new iterations of their three major franchises - Halo Infinite, which also had F2P multiplayer, Forza Horizon 5 plus DLC, and Gears' DLC.

Amidst all this they have been adding titles left, right, and centre, to GamePass including the Bethesda/Zenimax back catalogue, a number of timed exclusives, and giving away the Series S for as little as £200.

Despite all those factors, they're still firmly in third place, and refuse to go into any specifics as regards hardware (and software numbers).

It's pretty clear that MS has vastly outspent it's rivals...only to remain in third place.

Sales are not just the U.S. you know.

The U.S. is MS biggest market. Sony’s second biggest with Europe being their number 1. If all MS can do is “come close” in their main territory that’s really nothing to brag about. If that’s even true. Xbox consoles are always in stock yet PS5 sells more.

In every other region it’s not even a competition.

MS complete lack of brand awareness and games output is the exact reason why they’re always last in everything. If that’s something to be proud of as long their supposedly “close” to PlayStation in their main region then I don’t know what to tell you.

Nah man. No need to try and give Xbox the benefit of the doubt.

Even with shortages and increased demand you can pretty much find the Series S on shelves at every store. Series X too but less so. Online is a different story. SX has been in stock at the MS store website since the beginning of 2022. Same for retailers like Walmart. PS5 still manages to outsell it with less supply. Now supply has increased we are seeing the natural order of thing.

Xbox brand is just not as desirable as PlayStation.

This is why MS doesn’t release any sales data. It lets people make up numbers and assume Xbox is doing better that it really is. Case in point....
I know, it was just being generous. If/when Sony manages to get rid of the supply issue they'll destroy Xbox. MS will show they aren't capable to compete even spending around $100B on acquisitions. In the PS4 gen they have like over 2:1 difference and I think that at the end of the PS5 gen the difference will be more like around 3:1.

Honestly, were it not for the stock issues that Sony are only just now getting sorted out, the spin here would look even more ridiculous than it already does.

MS didn't release any games last year... and probably still almost sold as much as Playstation  :ROFLMAO:
The US is not the world, yet MS still loses big in the US with two consoles, even with one of those at $249 or cheaper with many promotions circulating. In the rest of the world, MS's back is being blown on a daily basis at retail. Yet things are about to be even more real for MS, since PS5's stock issues have been addressed, finally. It's not going to get better. The carnage has only just begun.

True, but MS still got waxed there too.....If you look at the bigger picture though NA is just a sample. When any company talks about consoles sold or game units sold, it's not just NA....

Yes but for each iPhone sold there are dozen of cheap Androids being sold.
The cheap Android still sell way more than iPhones... iPhone are like 15% of the market.

in the US they are more like 50% of the market

The point is you have people that don't make lots of money getting in debt for that iPhone 14 pro. You live in Brazil, you know how it is, Itaú and other banks have installments plan for poor people to buy iPhones. People pay for value and price is secondary.
