Yes... that is true... but cheaper phones (like < $200) are still the most sold in the world.The point is you have people that don't make lots of money getting in debt for that iPhone 14 pro. You live in Brazil, you know how it is, Itaú and other banks have installments plan for poor people to buy iPhones. People pay for value and price is secondary.
In Brasil iPhones sells pretty well but Samsung A03, A13, etc (and similar priced phones from Motorola, Redmi, etc) are in hands of most people.
But like @Dodkrake posted... you are right about US... that is why even being ~50% in US it drops to ~15% when you look worldwide.
