That was an embarrassing clusterfuck in a lifetime full of them for Jez. Was his horseshit about BG added to the FUD thread?
Imagine all the work required to port these games from PC to Xbox, all so that the handful of guys that like JRPGs and for some reason own only an Xbox can wait for it to release on Gamepass.
Just lack of things like PSX style events, hype showcases reminiscent of some of their E3's from last gen, more aggressive moves with regards to responding to their competition, prioritizing the console platform more, etc. He's doing fine, but there are more things I would like to see.
Imagine Satya blowing up in a meeting because Phil misspent all his $100billions pocket change on drugs induced merger parties

Not much announced past 2023 other than Wolverine, Rise of Ronin and Death Stranding 2. Pretty much all PlayStation Studios and partners are working on unannounced games. Let's see what happens after this whole ABK things is in the past.
The thing about Jim Ryan so far is that his moves all look a lot better in retrospect:
- Betting big on crossgen? Obviously the right call.
- Taking it easy with the hype? Doesn't look like the PS5 is struggling.
- Securing timed exclusives with Bethesda? Ensured that a games like Deathloop and Gosthwire actually got released on PS5 at a time that current gen only games were scarce.
- PS+ rework, both PS+ Essentials and Extra are great services.
- Trying to block the ABK deal seemed like a long shot but he at least made sure to slow and shit all over that thing, at least slowing down MS acquisition spree.
- PC ports haven't negatively affected PS5 sales so far.

I think that having a better competitor for the same market segment would be great... MS is just right as it is now to hold fire under Sony's ass.
However, having a console manufacturer that could actually match Sony's output would be better.

Hopefully the Square Enix deal ready to announce right after ABK is cleared. I would love to see their dumb expressions. xD
I have no doubt that more games are in the pipeline. I guess the way they present their content this gen is boring compared to last gen imo. I guess part of me wants more of a hype machine and more WOW moments like last gen. Hopefully their next showcase does that now that they've had time to get more games ready.

And why would Sony have a paid deal for the pixel remasters but allow a Switch version? The hate is so strong with them that common sense is gone.

I also like hype but from Sony's perspective they can save it from when they need it. Right now PS5 sells itself.
All their Showcases so far have been good, the problem is that they haven't done one since the whole ABK thing started. Game specific State of Play are usually pretty good already.
With that said, they seriously need to come up with something like a reworked PlayStation Experience that is more like QuakeCon/BlizzCon and a better format for State of Play (that gets rid of filler content). It goes without saying that they need to do a lot better with communication.

Yes they are deluded way beyond. They don’t see what’s real or fake anymore. Sony needs to announce the acquisition of Square Enix as soon this ABK deal is cleared. This fake outrages are so exhausting of this green community.
Yes not immediately. They will probably wait a couple of months until whole ABK matter cools down or even wait until early 2024 in worst case.
I admit that early ps4 was pretty impressive, and all the bots just refusing to believe games like infamous:ss would be possible on the new consoles.
