All kidding aside I am shocked, SHOCKED that a government was actually able to do its job and check the power of a huge multinational for once.

Like, Britain, I don't usually say this but ... good job.
I'm shocked that it was British that did anything considering their Government

The SLC was determined for the Cloud market, not Console market.
CMA probably dropped console concerns so an appeal can’t happen? That report from a couple days ago mentioned something about the CMA setting up a decision to prevent an appeal. Everybody assumed it had to do with Sony.

Bob already spoke, they will appeal

Crying PR words. Appeals hardly ever have successful outcomes. Especially with the issues with this market the deal blocked for.

It's good that even governments are finally starting to fear big tech a little bit. Fuck those gigantic companies that want to own everything.

I didn't care much about this deal but when Bobby and Nadella went on TV to threaten the UK and then later started to talk some mad nonsense about Japan, I wanted it stopped. They just have no class.

This could maybe be the end of the Xbox brand guys. This a fatal shot against Microsoft today. Proud of CMA not losing their composure.
It’s a good sign that the biggest companies can’t becoming bigger so easily. Corruption lost!

Would be the best news for the gaming industry, Microsoft has bought nothing but trouble from day 1

From ERA:

"A friend, who works at a firm speculating in competition law, called this five months ago and says that the discussion of the entire case on Era has been one of the biggest cases of being unhinged and detached from reality he’s seen in his professional career.

If all your sources are surprised by this outcome you should seek better sources."

Yeah, dude, the writing was on the wall. This was never going through, the bots deluded themselves.
We told them and got banned as a result.

I don't think so. The reason for not blocking the deal due to console SLC was that they believed Microsoft's bullshit that they wouldn't take games out of PS since it would substantially decrease revenue (CoD). They bought the same BS the EC bought with Bethesda.

Doesn't Microsoft still have to go to some UK gaming event today?

- ABK deal blocked
- MS having to pay ABK half of what they paid to get Bethesda.
- 30% decrease in hardware sales.
- Pathetic service growth
- 30 fps games
- Under performing hardware getting beat by an overclocked 8TF RDNA 1.5

The only way this gets funnier is if Sony already made move to counter the ABK deal in case it did pass.

Fuck Don Mattrick, he needs to go!
