I mean FFXVI did show a decline in franchise because well it come after some bad apples and FFXVI was not a mover too.
But look at FFVII Rebirth... seems like selling pretty well.

Persona and Yakuza release on Xbox did nothing to the franchise... nobody remember them anymore.

Yakuza and Persona sold 1 million ON THREE PLATFORMS in the same timeframe FFXVI sold 3 million as a PS5 exclusive. He's coping hard.

Yep, I think they already mentioned all 3 were going to be console exclusive when originally announced.

The screenshot ends with a lie: Totoki never said they won't release major 1st party games until 2025. He was said sequels to major existing franchises, stuff like GoWR or Spider-Man 2 levels. Meaning, no Horizon, TLOU, GT or Uncharted in 2024.

They could release in 2024 Concord and Cory's new IP which would be major titles, but new IPs.

I mean, nothing changed. If the first two parts are exclusive the last is also

To understand why some nintendo dudes get all bent out of shape when it comes to the topic of FF exclusivity.

They still hold a grudge for ff7 being a ps1 exclusive back in the 90s.

Not just ff7 but all the subsequent ones that missed nintendo platforms.

That was a big franchise on nintendo then left the platform for years.

They can't get over it, so they want it to fail.
