Downsizing would mean selling much less. Most JRPGs are not Multi-Million Sellers, and rather niche in the west. Big-Budget Visuals always made FF stick out. Take that away, and it will have much less pull. -

It is not. They need a broad user base to make money. Selling only 10 Million PS6 Consoles would bankrupt them. -

Release Week could be heavily contested. Scalpers might have less impact, since it is a upgrade console, with normal PS5 as option. (Most might just buy the cheaper slim then!). Long-term demand won't be as high as Base/Slim. PS4 Pro made only 13% of PS4 lifetime sales. PS5 will be around the... -

Sony should have bought SE, and make FF fully exclusive. Most FF/SE Fans are PS/Switch-Players. -

If the PS-Version can't cover the cost, nothing can. PC-Sales are only a fraction of every game they release. (Needing Denuvo to not totally bomb!) Xbox barely buys JRPG/Asia-Games (or games in general). Only Switch makes sense, for additional revenue.
