Armchair experts disagree with pretty much the entire gaming industry, aside from Nintendo.
Meanwhile, in Japan:

It's true that the market is WIDER to some extent.. but AAA isn't losing money by releasing on PC...
Really impossible to know where the stock would be today w/o the MS buyout. Also where people's "care" would be surrounding Kotick, because a lot of people "forgot" because of MS.
Not saying you are outright wrong or anything, but I don't think it's cut and dried.
The stock price right now...
It's never been expected to pass before some time into 2023.. all MS/ACTI have said is before the fiscal year closes at the end of June.
But totally agree anyone saying "it will pass easily" from the start was way too confident; it's still really hard to tell how well it's coming along as it...
I hope so..
But that article is pretty weak... NY Post is a tabloid, and that appears to just be generic click-bait not something even claiming to have special inside sources.
I mean this is literally it:
Some insiders and analysts say MS "likely did not expect this level of scrutiny" isn't...
Yeah I realllly don't think Sony is going to jump into F2P for something like Factions 2, or whatever that game will end up being.
For one, I have a feeling it's going to be MMO-lite style like Destiny. Or something unique / somewhat story driven either way. Not the kind of game that is...
I still have my doubts they'll ditch the weird fin design, but that may depend on how well the bolt-on colors are selling.
Hopefully that was a huge flop for Sony, and they come to their senses and create a design that doesn't look ridiculous and you can just, you know.. put it on a table...
What's the track record of this web site?
I'd love a slim model... I have 2 PS5's, but that's 1 for me 1 for my wife in our living room / attached office gaming emporium.
Need one for the bedroom, one for the workout room and one for the billiards room.
Well for one we don’t even know if it’s cloud only or not so we?
But I agree cloud only barely makes sense at all… but you would do something MMO-ish at the very least at a scale that requires LAN speed between clients to really push the idea.
But yeah cloud only is a huge catch 22 because the...
September is one month before October.
April is one month after March.
So D4 timeframe the same.
I feel very confused by you guys in this convo lol. D4 meets every standard you have proposed.
Closed beta that had a lot of participants started mid October and is still going IIRC.
I really don't understand this attitude towards the timeline of betas... most games don't even have open betas.. and they are quite often only like a month or 2 from launch of a game.
6 months from first beta... is April ;)
The game has been in development for an eternity so I kind of don't get why people think April 2023 is so early.
This basically describes where I'm at with MS.
MS sort of helped me get back into console gaming after PC gaming sort of took over for me post-SNES days. OG Xbox -> Xbox 360 were my favorite consoles. But that didn't last even the entire 360 generation.
Since then Sony has dominated my...
Open beta is supposed to be January; and the point of those kind of betas is sort of a final stress test/bug hunt/final tweak sort of thing.
I don't think 4 months later in April is really too soon or anything unless the beta goes spectacularly poorly.
Either way this is also my most...
I'm not saying it's going to be bad or anything, but I just don't see it doing that well. The IP doesn't look particularly interesting to me. This isn't Wolfenstein that gets attention for being a long-standing property.
And I dunno maybe I'm getting the wrong impression but it just feels...
