Anyone that actually believed this game would be anymore technically advanced than other games is a complete moron this is creation engine they should know that the engine isn't going to advance 20 years because of the magic Microsoft engineers 🤣
Dx12 my man and infinite power of da cloud has pushed this game beyond anything humanly possible 😁

Stolen from 4chan:

It doesn't HAVE to have full planet exploration on foot
>It doesn't HAVE to have ground vehicles
>It doesn't HAVE to have water falls
>It doesn't NEED to have real directional lighting that effects the enviroment.
>It doesn't need to have life on more than 10% of planets
>It doesn't need a modern engine.
>It doesn't need aquatic vehicles.
>It doesn't need to have expressive dialogue animations.
>It doesn't NEED to be more than 30 fps on consoles.
>It doesn't need DLSS
>It doesn't need flyable ships in a planets atmosphere.
>It doesn't need playable alien races despite 10% of planets having life.
>It doesn't need good gunplay.
>It doesn't matter the collectors edition doesn't come with a disc
>It doesn't need to have interesting world designs.
>It doesn't MATTER that those 1000 worlds are all randomly generated

They already have excuses ready

Always the victims. It's the other way around. Journalists already decided they will go easy on Starfield because the Xbox brand depends on it and their saviour Phil deserves more awards (how many awards the media invented for him already? I lost count).

If the reviews are bad then it would mean the game is REALLY bad. A lot worse than we think.

and now imagine getting 90+ on Meta.

that would mean that the game is that good to be able to overcome its shortcomings.

From this GQ article: "Howard admits, explaining that Starfield only “clicked” into feeling fun to play as late as last year. [2022]"
Pretty grim your game in development for, how many years was it? 8? 10? 25?, only started to feel fun less than a year before release.
Yeah this is such a weird comment from the dev.

They were supposed to release last year aswell. Story, gameplay and exploration would have already been done by then. What exactly made it fun, if those other things were already set?

I think the shill media will do everything to get it above 90+. You can already see people tripping over themselves to defend any leak that may come across as meh on social media.

Games like this make you appreciate the level and attention to detail that goes into Sony first party games. Very few third party are up there compared to the rest. Beyond just the clipping the animation pipelines and methodology for doing animation from these studios and these third party engines is just bad. Still stuck in the standards of the PS3 era. Improvement in the quality of the character models makes the mediocre animations look worse. If you're in the business of doing First Person view adventure games it begs to reason you would invest heavily into your animation team cause everything is up close when it comes to NPC interactions but nope. Third person adventure games somehow continue to be the vanguard - led largely by Sony's flagship studios.
