And even if EDGE's rating weighs more heavily on Meta than other sites/magazines, seeing it rise to 95 is still 50/50.

Edge have a massive bias towards anything made by Nintendo and British developers.

GTA4 and GTA5 got 10s too.

How GTA4 is top 3 highest rates games of all time is questionable.

GTA 4 in 2008 was quite a huge leap against everything else at the time especially with the online component thrown in, so I can see why it got those scores. I always thought it was a 7/10 game, but at the time of release it really was a huge leap forward.

GTA4 is still a great game, and it was also the first GTA HD (although personally I prefer GTA5).

And if you look at the same games in the genre (gta like), apart from GTA5 or RDR2, there aren't many games of this quality.

Still in disbelief no Resident Evil got a 10. RE4 didn’t get a 10.

Neither did any Uncharted game. 2 and 4 must have been close.

No Final Fantasy either.

No Metal Gear Solid either which is surprising since all the hype created for me for the first game was reading Edge Magazine.

Given the way they've rated and given 10/10s to some titles that didn't really deserve it.

At Sony, for example, Shadow Of The Colossus could have obtained the maximum score.
God Of War 2 on PS2 as well.
Uncharted 2.
Demon's Souls.
Returnal.
