You said PC owners, not PC gamers. By that logic you still deserve to "get dicked" on.

If it weren't for gaming the personal computer/laptop wouldn't exist outside of businesses. Video games are very important to the growth of personal computers as a household appliance.

Many genres started on the platform, and it's the place for game development. It's a multi purpose machine, hence why it's called a personal computer and not a personal word processing machine.
And all of those genres moved onto consoles because gaming was unsustainable on PC alone. Every last storied PC-only dev was brought to their knees and swore allegiance to consoles. PC gamers can spend 3000 on a rig and can't even avoid shader problems.

You love to see it.

Console franchises also jumped to PC as well- whether it be through developers voluntarily bringing their projects across platforms (as we see recently) or with emulation solutions.

Also, all? The only genre I can think of where the vast majority of titles jumped to console with a console focus later are shooter games, and even then that's coming back to more of a PC focus since Fortnite and Esports blew up.
RTS, VNs, MMORPG, Simulation (racing, flying, etc) and others still have their biggest presences on PC.

Either way these machines are built to game as much as any console are. Hence the massive amounts of GPUs, CPUs, etc being produced for use in computers. If you use your computer for work that's your perogative, but they can be used for all things.

Fortnite's largest user base is on PlayStation. Not just consoles, which dwarf PC and mobile, but PlayStation alone.

eSports? FGC is on PlayStation.

Visual novels, RTS, MMOs, Sims - all on consoles now where they weren't before, and VNs are definitely larger on Nintendo platforms than Steam/PC.

China is a future gold mine for the industry, if PlayStation manages to sell more consoles in China and bring games that appeal to the Chinese public (such as the China Hero Project), it won't just depend on the US and Europe.

Yep, Steam is carrying this game big time. 70:30 split in its favor. It will probably remain that way too or increase to 80:20.

But remember guys, Steam isn't a competing platform for PlayStation. SIE and Sony Corp CEOs told us so!

🤣

Anyway, congrats to the team. I think the game aught to hit 10 million by the middle of September, at this pace. Especially if WOM is strong.
There's a problem with this logic: it's China that's carrying this game, not Steam. After all, PS5 isn't extremely restricted in China, and even though PC is the main platform for AAA games in that market, it's still extremely restricted, basically only games authorized by the government can be sold on Chinese Steam. He could make even bigger numbers if the number of PS5s was equivalent to that of the US and Europe
