Who said I expected 1:1? Of course not, but they can't even manage to do 10% as well. 3 years of sales can't even match 3 days and you guys think that's ok, the bar is low and you lie to yourselves to make trash look like gold.

No one is overestimating anything, it's not just that PC ports are bad, it's that day and date ruined Xbox's development pipeline entirely. After they started putting their games day 1 on PC, the quality and cadence of releases dropped off significantly. Not saying the early days of xb1 had bangers, but those games were 1000x better than what they released post 2016. When Sony goes day/date for single player games, the same will happen.
Everyone who desperately wanted to play Ghost of Tsushima probably already bought a PlayStation. This is the problem with your logic here. You look at the game on PC after it's already been out for multiple years and you wonder why it doesn't sell as much as it did when it first released years ago. You don't think that it could be possible that those people might have already bought a PlayStation to play the game already or they just don't care about it anymore?

I am definitely getting GoT. I am linking my PSN and everything.

@Zexyen is right

Will we have the same energy once GTA6 gets ported year(s) later to PC?

Did people complain when GTA5, Red Dead 2 etc. launched at full-price on PC, even though they were "old games"?
Actually I did for RDR 2.

When it finally came out for PC I lost all interest in it even though I got it. I still have not played the single player all the way through myself. I just don't have any drive to.

SOT came out in 2018 and Persona 5 in 2016. Both late ports at full price on new platforms. Monster Hunter Rise was also a late PC port at full price. I didn't see that same narrative about them?

Somehow Sony games are supposed to be worth less and it's an achievement if PC gamers buy them? Y'all really hate Sony. Damn.
I personally don't think that persona or Sea or Thieves should still be full price for any new platforms. It's actually mindboggling imo to charge full price for old games.

No, you're just reading like that, because you want it to be like that.

I said desperately for a reason. I know a ton of people in my friend group that want to play the game but never would have bought a PlayStation for it. There are people out there who would just like there are people on this forum who bought a PlayStation 4 for Bloodborne.

What about the tens of thousands of other games that are not full price anymore? Why do you think games get's permanent price drops after a while? Does Sony hate their own games since most of them have received permanent price drops?

I don't go to PSN to buy God of War 2018 and expect to use 60$ today.

GoW 2018 is working very well on PC, and GoWR is basically its second half. Sony is also releasing almost everything on PC, so I assume is very likely that Sony will release GoWR on PC.

For non-GaaS titles Sony keeps at least around aprox. 2 years of difference between the original PS release of the game and the PC port. Which means that in this case they'd release GoWR around aprox. November 2024 (a few months before or later) or later.

Upcoming Sony PC releases that we know are coming later this year:
  • GoT DC
  • Destiny 2 The Final Shape
  • Convallaria
  • Lost Soul Aside
  • Until Dawn remake
  • Concord
Upcoming Sony PC releases that we know are coming in 2025 or later:
  • Marathon
  • Fairgame$
  • Star Wars KOTOR remake (still in the works, but as I remember Sony only publishes on PS)
  • Deviation's game (if being rebooted at the secret new SIE studio built with ex-Deviation staff)
Other PC releases that pretty likely could be announced for 2024/2025:
  • TLOU 2 Remastered, maybe close to the season 2 of the tv show
  • Demon's Souls remake
  • Gravity Rush (1+2?) remastered, maybe close to the release of the movie adaptation
  • Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (pretty likely with a late 2025 release)
  • MLB The Show 25 (MLB wanted to make it multiplatfom and Sony expanded to PC, so I'd bet some day will also be released on PC)
  • Gran Turismo 7 (but its studio head debunked rumors/mistranslations saying they weren't working on it and didn't plans to work on it, that regarding PC they only did some early tests in the past)

Um, what?

They're worth what they're worth on the PlayStation Store after being available for 4 years.
So intellectual to answer with the question.
So intellectual to yapp.

You so intellectual, why not give straight answers?

They literally answered it clear as fucking day bro.

"They are worth what they are worth on the PlayStation store"

in other words:

Whatever the price is for console should be the price for PC as no one should have to pay full price again for a game if it's old.

But extra work has been made, for example to make the games work on potatoe systems, offer different settings, etc.

I've been told all these stuff happens AFTER the game was completed. Why should all these things come "for free"? Especially since Sony is barely making any money on them and they and they now have to feed studios like Nixxes.

I'm not saying I fully agree. I'm just detailing the answer for him because he clearly didn't see it nor care for it.

I know extra work goes into these ports and it's not an "as-is" port because that just wouldn't work.

The “extra work” is no way comparable to these game’s development and marketing that lead up to their original launches.

Most gamers expect remasters to be free and throw tantrum’s over 10$ upgrade costs.

There’s little risk to these ports. These games have already reached success and profitability. Assigning a studio to port these at relatively low cost and risk is to say it plainly “easy money.” For some probably needing less than 500k units to reach success.

To expect these ports to sell comparably to their console release is some nonsense. Especially two to four years after the fact when most of those who wanted to play it will have no matter the platform (and then there’s the piracy issue).

There will be evergreen titles like God of War and expect Tsushima to also do well. And for cataloging and bc concerns… well there’s your answer.

You’ll see the clowns use concurrent stat to shit on the releases meanwhile using concurrent for single player releases, let alone old games is another can of stupid to open.

It’s a nuanced discussion but you see how dogmatic the fanboy bs is here…

Why are Sony games worth less in your eyes? Why is the price such a huge deal?

Um, what?

it was non answer as it can be for both questions.

he specifically asked in HIS EYES on PC.

he didn't ask why Playstation values the game as it does on Playstation. it can be multitude different reasons why Playstation values the game as it does on Playstation, and it can be multitude different reasons why Playstation values said game on PC differently.

by your both admission, 60$ price tag on PC is indeed is unfair, and it should be the same as on Playstation as you both said, so it should be 70$.

Bluepoint helped with GoW Ragnarök. That's why I always had the assumption that they would get to know the franchise and do a spin off with Atreus. There was also artwork for the new Bluepoint title in the Insomniac Leaks and the character could actually be a slightly older Atreus.
What a waste of resources.
BluePoint made Demons Souls in 2 years. They could of popped out another 2 games by the time they release there new game

Yall paid $70 for the 10th rerelease of skyrim with nothing done except stealing fanmade content so I dont want to hear how pc players aren't going to pay full price for an excellent game with no technical issues.

Um, what?

It was as straight as can be. It’s not my fault that you can’t grasp such a simple and straightforward answer.

And I don’t know who this “yall” is that paid $70 for this umpteenth Skyrim re-release, but something tells me they are primarily composed of straw.

Personally I held off on getting Persona 5 on PC until its price finally went down, while I have actually bought most of these Sony PC games at launch, albeit with keys from third party sites at a slight discount at least.

I can own up to the fact I had no idea it was $70 on PS but I still wouldn't complain because it'd be matching the price. I thought it was lower by now (begs the question now why Sony is robbing you of $10 that PC doesn't have to pay, though?)
