The critic score is a bunch of bullshit to begin with.

Firstly, for some reason, they’re separating these scores from PvP. Ridiculous in itself since players pretty much exclusively buy CoD for PvP. A review should entail everything you’re dropping $70 for. Then again, critics don’t actually pay for games do they…

So this sort of “protects” criticisms for the PvP game. With that said, PvP impressions seem okay so far from what I’ve read in passing. Once players stop going “reeeeeee!!!!” I’ll expect more honest feedback.

Tbh it’s just all a mess. Everything about CoD right now. 200 gig launcher. Being moved to a new launcher and another 100 gig plus update. It’s gonna happen again with the Warzone relaunch in December.

And then in the end when everyone is ONLY playing f2p Warzone they’re gonna pretend that’s MW3 player engagement as 3 games are now lumped into one tracked sku.

Before Warzone 2 dropped and arena CoD was tracked separately it fell out of the XBL top 10 for instance. Which in reality has positioned Rainbow Six Seige as the most popular “traditional” arena pvp game (if you can call it that - I wouldnt…)

Can anyone really be surprised at Sledgehammers CoD games at this point? They're the worst of the studios that make them.
2014- CoD Advanced Warfare 81 meta score
2017- CoD WW 2 79 meta score
2021- CoD Vanguard 73 meta score
2023- CoD MW 3 ??? meta score.

With their current track record I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox closes their studio since they obviously don't really need it to make money anymore. Then again slap CoD on anything and it sells apparently including diapers.

bad luck? no, bad luck is if an earthquake hits their office building and destroys their property. acquiring a series of dying developers is negligence in not doing proper due diligence when determining who to acquire.

it's a pattern of behavior. they don't do their due diligence in making the games they produce quality products. they don't do their due diligence in holding their executives accountable when they fail. they don't do their due diligence in determining which 3rd party games to back.

Well, at this point in time, we know how MS plays if the game succeeds they act like they're the reason it did. Big mouth Phil has proven that look at HiFi Rush he was taughting it like they were the ones who made it. However on the other hand if the game doesn't they don't say anything.

What did I say before!? The degradation had begun with the start of Microsoft acquiring, this low ass meta and now all the layoffs to Activision under Microsoft. The budgets will get smaller and the COD games will just go downhill and feel cheap.
