I'd bet a LOT of money that MS is about to become a 3rd party. Bethesda and ABK only reinforce that. Those two will need PlayStation, or they will fall with Xbox. MS will choose the most profitable outcome.

These are the figures we already know up to 2022.
And now we know those for the PS5 and X/S for 2023.
Except 2023 for the Switch, which is still an estimate, but a realistic one.
I think they will probably in the future release specific games after a duration to other platforms but... 2024 & 2025 will decide their future prospects. So it's really up to Sony to get their cards in order and hammer home the final blows.

At least a couple of people on era have this take. I've seen Shinobi602 allude to this as well on twitter a while back but said that people aren't ready for that conversation, I would agree with him.

All we know about worldwide sales of the Xbox series is that they were 21 million last June via the event in Brazil, and since then we've heard nothing officially.
Not for PS5 and old Switch. PS5 sales would be higher if there is a Slim, but Sony want to get rid of old PS5 and bunch of people are waiting for Slim
Just a reminder that Nintendo (and Take2) don't include digital sales and, on average, half of Switch game sales are digital. Ergo Mario is definely a top 20 seller, just with the sales hidden.

To me the most disgusting part that needs calling out is the engagement shit. You take away top 10 platform charts which demonstrate clearly what's performing on which platform using the only metric that counts (revenue) and you replace it with a metric for charlatans and spinsters, likely at MS' request.

There are multiple PS5 consoles in the charts. With the original model alone selling 20K.
Engagement charts are great. Measures player hours. It’s the best way to gauge any long running online game and player retention.
It also gives neat info… for instance it shows how well Calisto Protocol did with the ps plus drop. Quite well.

For best-sellers of the year in NA market it's barely in Top 20 right now with digital included. However, I think with global markets and adding in digital, it'll most likely hit near or in the Top 10 for games sold (by revenue) this year.
