I'd bet a LOT of money that MS is about to become a 3rd party. Bethesda and ABK only reinforce that. Those two will need PlayStation, or they will fall with Xbox. MS will choose the most profitable outcome.
What's the source of the numbers in your chart?
I think they will probably in the future release specific games after a duration to other platforms but... 2024 & 2025 will decide their future prospects. So it's really up to Sony to get their cards in order and hammer home the final blows.I'd bet a LOT of money that MS is about to become a 3rd party. Bethesda and ABK only reinforce that. MS dream was already become a 3rd-party publisher.
At least a couple of people on era have this take. I've seen Shinobi602 allude to this as well on twitter a while back but said that people aren't ready for that conversation, I would agree with him.
Where do we know them from? The last official info on MS sales came in the early part of the year from Brazil. Was there anything official or in court docs that updated from there? These are the figures we already know up to 2022.
And now we know those for the PS5 and X/S for 2023.
Except 2023 for the Switch, which is still an estimate, but a realistic one.
I thought you were talking about NPD sales figures for the US marketWhere do we know them from? The last official info on MS sales came in the early part of the year from Brazil. Was there anything official or in court docs that updated from their?
Bad for all. I would love to see them all thrive and stay alive. Holidays are coming, so I am sure they will all do well again!
Just a reminder that Nintendo (and Take2) don't include digital sales and, on average, half of Switch game sales are digital. Ergo Mario is definely a top 20 seller, just with the sales hidden.
Mario Wonder 21st for 2023.
www.resetera.comHow the hell can you have a cheaper console and still do worse than the Xone?
Also, where are all the shills that were putting Spider-Man down, claiming the 10-day sales are shit?
It clearly states at the bottomJust a reminder that Nintendo (and Take2) don't include digital sales and, on average, half of Switch game sales are digital. Ergo Mario is definely a top 20 seller, just with the sales hidden.
*Digital sales not included
^ Xbox & Switch Digital sales not included
According to our very own and gorgeous @Welfare these are the numbers
LTD units PS5 +9% PS4, XBS -11% XBO
PS4 LTD October 2016: 14,834,000
XB1 LTD October 2016: 13,335,000
PS5 LTD October 2023: 16,169,000
XBS LTD October 2023: 11,869,000
The above is assuming there were no adjustments made to PS4/XB1 since original reporting. And also not accounting for ranges like +9.3%, +8.6%, -11.4%, -10.7% etc.
PS4
2013 : 2.000.000
2014 : 4.680.000
2015 : 5.720.000
2016 (as of october) : 2.420.000
Total : 14.820.000
==> PS5 : 16.153.800 (+9%)
XB1
2013 : 1.820.000
2014 : 4.370.000
2015 : 4.930.000
2016 (as of october) : 2.214.000
Total : 13.334.000
==> X/S : 11.867.260 (-11%)
So
PS5 : 16.15 million (~4.25 million for YTD 2023)
X/S : 11.87 million (~2.16 million for YTD 2023)
We stay on 2:1
Great numbers for ps5 & spider man 2
I think Nintendo switch will win November npd imo
Cuz the mario kart 8 bundle are dominating in the amazon.com chart right now
To me the most disgusting part that needs calling out is the engagement shit. You take away top 10 platform charts which demonstrate clearly what's performing on which platform using the only metric that counts (revenue) and you replace it with a metric for charlatans and spinsters, likely at MS' request.
Just a reminder that Nintendo (and Take2) don't include digital sales and, on average, half of Switch game sales are digital. Ergo Mario is definely a top 20 seller, just with the sales hidden.
Yes, the jp sales of mario will go a long way, i expect at least a couple million in jpFor best-sellers of the year in NA market it's barely in Top 20 right now with digital included. However, I think with global markets and adding in digital, it'll most likely hit near or in the Top 10 for games sold (by revenue) this year.
