dispelling the myth that PC is a 'premium' place to play games - Steam's top 10 highest rated games paint a bleak picture for the platform

PC gaming is for those people who want to felx they have a powerful machine. it makes them think they are the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. Just a reminder in order to match the PS5 performance you need to pay at least 1500$ that's 3 times the price of a PS5 for a platform that doesn't have games. PS5 is the master race, period.
I paid 1300 for my 5600X/3070ti (fuck yes next buy MSRP drops) and got a PC that outdoes any next gen console. I have to say playing Cyberpunk with ray tracing properly actually made a noticeable difference.

The reality is this, PC is bleeding edge and you pay for that bleeding edge and advances over everyone else. Should no one buy an F150 or Tesla when they can get a Honda Civic? Why buy nice stainless steel pots and pans when 10 dollar non-stick coated can do the same thing? Should I not buy a nice pair of Levi's when I can get some off brand pair of jeans at Walmart? I mean it'll cover your legs the same right?

If you don't want to pay the price of entry for superior experiences that's perfectly fine, but just because the Ford Escape can get through the snow and mountains just fine doesn't mean that the Bronco is irrelevant.

If you want to have a "good enough" experience, the console is there for you. If you want to have a better experience the PC is there.

$400 gives quite a bit imo.

Best looking games...... (first party)
Goty calibre games
Best loadtimes
Best exclusives
Lots of 4k rez games, lots of 60Hz games
Best controller with innovative features.
3d audio.
Cheat free MP games.
Hassle free plug and play.

Seems good to me.
PC can use those controllers with innovative features, I know because I use the dualsense on PC

3D audio isn't a new prospect, Sony just came up with a different name for it and didn't even do it properly. The Steelseries 7P processes the audio so much better that honestly Sony should be ashamed to sell that headset when the 7P is on the market

Cheat free is a joke when there's undetectable devices you can buy to load scripts on consoles

Plug and play is a dead idea, not with installations (FUCK the physical install process for TLOU 2), updates, ETC. There's a lot of inconvenience where there wasn't on console gaming at one point.

Nah, I'm true PC master race, don't be fooled. The difference is, I use my PC for work, not playing games.

Of course this all comes down to personal opinion, when I finish my work I like to hop on the couch and play with my PS5 and XSX on my OLED with my Dolby Atmos setup. And then of course we have the games, without some exceptions (few), there are not many game that require an Uber PC. Do I really need to play Valheim @4K 240hz? Game is cool but looks like crap, PC is not the place for high end gaming anymore, unless you wanna play crap at 144hz just for fun.
Dude I game on both and this post makes ZERO sense.

Call me crazy but that list looks a lot more fun to me than either of the best sellers from the next gen consoles which are typically full of CoD, sports, and sequels.

And on PC you get these games AND all those same CoD and sports and sequels, performing better and usually at lower prices. And no XBLG/PS Maxx+ or whatever it is now.

Still the same games, dude. 🤷🏻‍♂️ That’s the point. Still the same. You’re paying more for the same.

If you define "highend" gaming to mean playing PC exclusives not meant to be on a console, then you are correct. That era (i.e. Crysis, DOOM, etc..) is gone. But if you say highend gaming means playing the best possible experience of a particular game that can be played from ALL platforms, then that's an incorrect statement.

For example, what's the best platform to play GoW (2018) or HZD? Obviously it's the PC because when putting all options to MAX and wanting the highest resolution and framerate possible, it will require playing on a highend PC.
The true question imo should be how many PC gamers can run HZD at the MAX with highest resolution and framerate possible?

PC being the strongest game hardware in the market was never doubted and it will never be… but most PC games doesn’t have these options to MAX and highest resolution and framerate possible.

That is the reality of the famous PCMR or when we talk about “premium” experience…. most PC gamers won’t have a experience better than what PS5 delivers… a small part will have similar hardware to PS5 and the minority will have really hardware that can run at highest and MAX.

Nobody on PC cares about exclusivity, they leave that to the cheerleading console warriors. Ironically, PC likely has a hundred times more exclusives than any console.
It just have very few or even doesn’t have AAA development for most publishers anymore.

Now if you take all these indies games that only release on PC as exclusives fine but that is not what people want to say when they use the word exclusive for games.

What? lmfao...

It has more support from more developers than it has ever had in its history...

Ironically, they’re always port begging. I wonder why is that. 🤔
That's your own bias creating that idea in your head. You THINK everyone is begging for your games... when the reality is that saying "X is coming to PC"... isn't begging at all.
