I've awaited 11 years for this game, shame to see discussion around it is horrible. If you actually PLAYED THE GAME, you would realize the mtx are worthless. It was like this in DMCV as well. You can pay to "cheat" the game. It has no impact on game balance whatsoever. Also you PC nerds who do nothing but complain about performance... SMD

No. It's not defending MTX to point out they're irrelevant, available in games, and people are lying about how you need to pay real money to fast travel or change your character. I do not think they should have included them, however, they're irrelevant. You do not have to buy them. It's not a gacha, not spending money does not constrain you. Why are you incapable of being honest about the effect on the game and what the purchases do? See above where users on this website are lying about the purchases. Content creators are apologising because they're wrong.

For presumably an adult I'm confused as to how you cannot separate MTX as a negative concept from their actual implementation/impact on the game. Is it inconsistent to point out Rift Crystals are as irrelevant to the gameplay as Red Orbs in DMC4? No.

But of course you do not mind defending people who literally lie about their function and call me a gaslighter for saying that's not the case.

Denuvo has a material impact on some games performance, this is not even debatable. Whether bypassing denuvo or removing it, whatever happens stops happening.

I do not condone piracy and I do not want developers to stop adding anti-piracy measures, but I also don't want to have a worsened experience when PAYING for a game.

I bought this on Steam over the weekend and put in 1 hour 45 minutes into the game. The game is fun and very funny in some regards, but the performance was fucking laughable especially in the first town on my PC with a 4090, so I hit refund. I'll pick it up again probably in another 6-12 months. It reminds me of how stuttery Elden Ring initially performed on PC at launch, but worse. I learned my lesson - I'm not interested in being a DD2 beta tester, even though I liked my experience.

Do you want to play the best action gameplay in a RPG ever? then buy 100%. The game has it's quirks just like the first one, but nothing else its matching it's core adventuring into combat loop. I still recommend the first one to this day. This one has the combat alongside immersive sim elements, which make the world feel dynamic and alive. Nothing quite like setting out an adventure through the day, fighting a boss come night, and defeating it during sunrise!

I've been saying that Dragons Dogma has the best action gameplay in a RPG for well over 10 years. It's my personal favorite and I don't think that's a hot take. the top two are DD and Nioh 2 IMO. And i've played pretty much every major RPG in the last decade btw. If you dont get it, then you simply aren't built to understand DDs greatness
