Who told you Zelda didn't cost $100+ million? You assumed that based on graphics? It's been in development for 6 years with 100s of employees working on it.

I said it puts majority of the games that cost 150+ million to shame. You need to ask yourself how You arrived at me assuming it's budget when that was never implied. Great to hear that the demo is good and game itself is looking great. Thought about playing the demo but the game is less than a week away and figured that I'll just wait for the full game. Looking forward to it as it will only be the second FF game that I have ever played. Remake being the first.

Zero chance. Pretty much no Insomniac game was ever a strong GoTY contender and Spider-man ain't the type of game that is going to do well in award season.
What could've set up Spider-man 2 to be more sucessfull when it comes to awards was the story but it's clear from what we have seen so far that the story is going to be around the same level of previous games.
It would need Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse level of creativity to beat Zelda and other games for the GoTY awards.

Played, got killed by the tentacle flower in the swamp. Plays well, but Am not impressed by the performance. A game targeting a single platform unoptimised like this? Nope - waiting for signs of otherwise.
Do like the grounded story in a fantasy setting, but don’t like the boy band haircuts - but I understand that’s a FF shtick so ok.

The obvious (maybe even over the top) game of thrones influence paired with the typical anime look does feel a bit odd.
I'm getting it day 1 though.
Older Clive looks fine
Somebody at Square Enix always seems to tell producers that the main character needs to be pretty. It's the only reason Vaan exists
They probably compromised by giving the young Clive section more of that traditional boyband look
