This is hilarious, a significant chunk of the money MS paid for ABK was because of CoD.
COD is actually 3 games in one on Steam (MW2, MW3, and Warzone!) and Helldivers 2 is creeping closer to destroy all of them.
Again, cool story bro. Fire jim ryan, rah rah rah. Get your refund and go play palworld on pc gamepass already.
Nonsense cause Helldivers has been around the 300K mark all night.
He got close to the peak again at 327K.
I still don’t understand why ya’ll listen to that clown. It's over 225k right now and it was 320k an hour ago so that's not right. 500k CCU on Steam was within reach today, that I agree with.
Steam reviews will go back up in the next few weeks like all the other awful launch
It definitely can.I think this game could easily peak above 1m CCU when combining PS5 and Steam numbers. Considering they probably built with the expectation of a 30k launch... not too surprised. With the mitigations they've been implementing it seems like it's not going to be a trivial task to change up the database structure to handle higher player counts. If the issues don't kill the game's momentum I'm gonna guess shit's gonna suck for a while.
Of course COD was the driver I thought that was well known. This is hilarious, a significant chunk of the money MS paid for ABK was because of CoD.
There should be a company wide mandate to not work with MS anywhere. No DirectX, no Azure, no Office, nothing.
When porting games Sony should also port them to macOS, Kojima sees it as he worked on a MacOS port for Death Stranding (Sony PC ports all started with the port of Decima because of Death Stranding).
I didn't suggest it wasn't well know, I was just pointing out how absurd it is to bet so big into a single game when a small game can do this.Of course COD was the driver I thought that was well known.
On Steam
Starfield in ~6 months
Helldivers 2 in ~2 weeks
I agree.I didn't suggest it wasn't well know, I was just pointing out how absurd it is to bet so big into a single game when a small game can do this.
There’s the possibility Sony may do business with Epic as well… (and even windows lol in attempt to get a wider release for the game.
I’d rather see releases stick to one pc launcher and in particular steam (because I enjoy the public data it does feature) but there’s the possibility they bring it to other pc storefronts.
I’d also argue that porting online games to competing storefronts doesn’t really help reach a wider audience … but just muddies and segments the playerbase based on whatever discounts are available at the time for whatever…
Xbox release wouldn’t be totally unlikely if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s a dying platform so who gives a shit…
I don't care if Helldivers is sold on the Epic store, but it would not result in a wider release.
It's still funnyThose estimates are completely bogus and unreliable.
The game's core gameplay is up there with the best. The game is just a technical mess right now. 4 games, 2 crashes.
Did you try to launch the game with the Activity card? Apparently it skips the logon screen.I'd agree with that. I dont think anyone could deny that there are serious technical / operational issues... if Sony wants their GAAS initiative to succeed, they need to be better at this.
