Yesterday me and my squadmates got the impression that the Laser Guard Dog isn't constantly trying to behead all players anymore, which is a plus.


Fuck, I'm so hooked on this game right now. It'll all I'm spending my free time on for the last month and a half while my gigantic backlog keeps growing, god damn.
Thts me lol I have to at kewat play once a day.

Watching this game blow up is amazing. The first one was so underrated.
Deserved, especially since the first has a cult following and was also good. Its crazy what a change in perspective (literally) can do to a series to make it more attractive and main stream.

I'm updating it to play the new update, but before this, I'd say:

Looks promising
  • Balance changes to weapons, stratagems, and enemies
  • Armors with armor rating above 100 now also reduces headshot damage
  • Burning damage reduced by 15%
  • Adjudicator, Blitzer, Punisher Plasma, Scythe, Railgun, Heavy Machine Gun, Diligence, Peacemaker, Senator, Dagger, Liberator, Liberator Concussive, Machinegun, Tesla Tower buffs
  • Sickle and Quasar Cannon now can shoot through foliage
  • Bile Spewer, Nursing Spewers, Hulk Scorcher nerfed
  • Automatic climbing and vaulting now can be disabled in settings
  • Level generation improvements
  • "Raise the flag" mission type now also available in hgher difficulties
  • When readying up, Helldivers now salute to ensure maximum democratic readiness
  • Added ambience to Tremor hazard
  • Tons of bugfixes
Doesn't sound good
  • Quasar Cannon, Guard Dog, Dominator nerfs
  • Devastator, Gunships, Scout Striders, Fog Generators, Gunship spawners buffed
  • More platrols for when less than 4 players specially in higher difficulties
  • Shots that ricochet from heavy armored enemies will now properly hit the Helldiver who fired them.

Quasar cannon nerf and dominator nerf are nbd

I've been playing dominator primary since before they buffed the damage from 200 to 300 and increased the stagger, it was already strong. Going down to 275 is going to be barely noticeable.

Quasar cannon nerf means you'll need to kite a few more seconds before it cools down, but again this should be not that noticeable

Never used the guard dog rover so I can't speak on that

(Perspective is based on my experience playing exclusively on difficulty 9 with randoms)

I like shaking up the meta every once in a while

What I dislike is every time they patch it introduces new bugs
The armor variety and their perks are really lacking. I think thy could do alot there without making armors op. An armor with invisibility for a short period of time would be dope asf :)

Yea they need to put more perks on armors
There's so much unused potential there. At least this patch they made heavy armors worth it since they decrease damage from headshots too

I just read on the helldivers leak subreddit that the illuminate should be coming soon. Like, the current major order seems to be leading towards it, maybe the order after this one

Yeah i figured tht is whats coming. I play almost everyday and am still not tired of it but now is a gd time for tht enemy variety.

Yes, they could add more variety regarding stats and perks for the armors.

As of now, the one I use it's the Light Gunner, which has the best stats of both light and medium armors:
  • Best Speed in the game: 550
  • Best Stamina Regen in the game: 125
  • Even if it's a light armor has the same Armor Rating than a medium armor: 100
IMHO has the best stats of the game. The heavy armors have a too low Stamina Regen (50) and too low speed (450), not compensated enough by the little extra armor rating they provide (150, but in practice this doesn't mean you can get 50% more hits than with an armor rating of 100).

In the past my favorite was the Trench Engineer because even if not as good stats they also were pretty balanced, but included two perks I loved: 30% recoil reduction while crouching or prone and +2 extra grenades. But well, I got it mostly for the looks (I like the orange color).
