They need to stop with those 1$ Gamepass deals if they want to get some profits
No. Then how will I keep getting Gamepass for free using MS rewards?

They had this deal for 5 years already, I doubt it's going anywhere and there is a good chance it would negatively impact the numbers they use to keep shareholders happy with their gaming division. They can't afford the negative implications if the service to stops growing this soon after they've spent so much on it.

Aren't they always winning North America, it's like a stronghold for them?

Europe has been pretty good as well. Japan is Japan so that's that.

In general, the key take away is that despite shortages, Series S|X are still the fastest selling Xbox consoles in their history, and even though hardware and revenue were down year over year compared to last year, Game Pass is also still in growth.

It's a big W for the Xbox brand as a whole.

It's still pales compared to 360 doesn't it?

But the S, the SKU selling the most out of them, is not really affected by shortages.

Do you have any game pass numbers to share?

In terms of sales ? No, it's outpacing it.

In terms of games output, I would again say no. But that part is subjective to everyones own interpretation.

No, they only seem to release official numbers at the start of a calendar year, but I don't think Satya would lie about growth in investor revenue releases.

how many of those gamepass numbers are because of the 1 dollar deals?

Are those being included in it?

Those things are being given away left right and centre.

That's how they get you on board, it's a real smart way.

Once you're on board the best deal in gaming, becoming a recurring paying member is an easy proposition.

Software giant reports lowest earnings growth in two years

  • crosoft’s revenue and income fell short, as did the company’s revenue from Azure and other cloud services.
  • Changing exchange rates and challenges in advertising and the PC markets brought down revenue in the quarter.

Microsoft turned in the slowest revenue growth since 2020, at 12% year over year in the quarter, which ended on June 30, according to a statement. The company’s earnings per share fell short of consensus for the first time since 2016, with net income rising 2% to $16.74 billion.

With respect to guidance, Microsoft called for $49.25 billion to $50.25 billion in fiscal first-quarter revenue. The middle of the range, at $49.75 billion, implies about 10% revenue growth, reflecting worsening PC sales and slower cloud infrastructure growth. Analysts polled by Refinitiv had expected more, at $51.49 billion. The company’s implied gross margin, at 69.85%, was wider than the 69.30% consensus among analysts polled by StreetAccount.

And for the new 2023 fiscal year, the company reiterated its forecast from three months ago, despite the economic climate.

How can you repeat these dumb lines when PS+ is getting Activision games like Crash 4 and Skate, Yakuza Like A Dragon, FF7R. All games that GP users were salivating over.

GP is only getting no-name indies from charity bundles ($1 tier)
yep it's just crazy talk, you need to be on Microsoft's payroll to think that game pass is better than sony's offering atm.
