They won’t sell the division, they‘Ll just pivot to being a third-party or PC-only publisher.

They tried to sell the division to Samsung at the end of the 360 generation, and that failed. It’s a much harder sell now.
Interesting! I never knew that.

I heard this guy was sick. Brain injury? This is an incredibly stupid comment whose argument is surprisingly best summed up be a reeee poster: "Let us be anticompetitive or we'll pull out of the industry!"

It would be pretty easy to prove that this death without acquisition claim isn't true, and Hoeg Law is back I see. I remember Xbox fans telling me that he was an objective/unbiased source for news about this deal, lol.

Is that thing about MS going to the CMA on Wednesday true? Or is that based on the dates before the deadline was pushed back to April?

I don't think the CMA will accept any 10 year deals from MS based on their provisional findings, but the EC accepting before the CMA says anything will give MS a PR boost. Still, interesting info to chew on.

Hoeg had a stroke in late December. That doesn’t explain his pro-MS stance before then, though.

When MS tried to sell XBox to Samsung, you can bet that Samsung got a look at the real numbers for the division and saw it was a money pit, then bailed.
