I don't want Microsoft to die, but I do want them to stop trying to actively fuck me and my gaming experiences.
As @TubzGaming said, focus on building their studios up from the ground.
I hate the fact that their philosophy seems to be for a better use of words " To rob Peter to pay Paul" as in taking away a beloved franchise from a group of gamers only to say "look how awesome we are guys." as they give said games to their base.
I hope you can see that.
I understand what you're saying but don't act like Sony hasn't done the same things and they did these things even before the original PlayStation existed. Hell, they recently just moneyhatted Stellar Blade which WAS announced and being developed for Xbox. Yet people only complain about Redfall despite the fact that they bashed it all the time.
Dude its for fun. At least for me. Yea its no different. But i see people so much invested in toys and plastic box its nuts (mostly xbox fans and online personas).
I see PlayStation fanboys/extremists as worse because for four generations, they basically have had access to every game on their platform and due to this, have become spoiled and believe that they're entitled to everything when reality doesn't work that way and when Microsoft finally spends money ad acquires a publisher, they all say, that's bullshit and you can't do that but yet don't realize that their favorite brand started it before they even launched PlayStation. To me, it's a double standard.
The difference with me is that they BOTH do fucked up shit period. But if you're a gamer, you should find a way to own both consoles so you can play everything especially if what the other company buys is your favorite. Hell, if Amazon were to acquire Ubisoft, as a Ubisoft fanboy, guess what im doing? I'm signing up for Luna and Ubisoft+ and will stream the games so I can play them. Do I prefer that? No but im not going to limit and restrict myself from playing games due to circumstances is completely and forever will be out of my control.
Kinect was the reason 360 shined.
Xbox One? You blame Dom Mattrick and Kinect but in fact it was already the same Xbox team that you see today... and the issue with Xbox One was not Kinect...
it was being underpowered compared to PS4 but costing $100 more.
If Xbox One had a hardware similar to PS4 and costing $399 it should do way better than what it id.
And to be fair it did better than Series is doing.
You guys keep blaming the wrong reasons with revisionist histories.
Games is what MS needs and they fail to delivery every single generation... where generation you keep asking why MS stopped to release games
The difference is that now in Series case they are not even trying anymore.
I don't want Xbox die... I want MS to continue to doing that "competition" to rest of my life
Kinect WAS the reason why Xbox One was overpriced and underpowered. Mattrick was the one who forced Kinect to be connected to the console and packed in as opposed to it being an optional add-on purchase.
If there was no Kinect at all and in all honesty, all these add on peripherals at best will have a "run" when they launch and they all die out which is why they shouldn't do them. They don't work. But if there was no Kinect at all with Xbox One, then yeah, it would have done much better but the problem is that you talk about revisionist history but im stating what exactly Xbox One was.
$500, always online, Kinect, weaker console - that's why I switched from 360 to PS4. Game wise, outside of Ryse, there was nothing for me until 2016 unless you want to include ROTTR which was moneyhatted for a year. Compared to this generation, it's the exactly the same for me which is bad but I do have many more games from Microsoft for this generation than I did last generation. At least double.
Again, Microsoft have released games. Including Redfall, it's 11 first party games in 2 1/2 years. Everyone discounts their games because they're not for them. That's not how it works.
