I never used GeForce Now, but as I remember you can't buy games or dlcs, but only streams PC games you own elsewhere, like in Steam. So Nvidia wouldn't lose anything. And Nvidia SIGNED that contract? What a bunch of dumbass clowns. Why are they even fighting for this? They get nothing.
Sony would never sign that shit contract, they have brains.
I’m enjoying how MS is throwing a temper tantrum and weaponizing its fanbase. They’re acting like Epic did. And they’ll take L after L.
Keep burning that good will and good guy façade you worked so hard to create, MS.
Yep, now it makes sense why they were only doing deals with BYOG providers. You already have to own the game so this wouldn't make that big of a difference for them.I never used GeForce Now, but as I remember you can't buy games or dlcs, but only streams PC games you own elsewhere, like in Steam. So Nvidia wouldn't lose anything.
Then that service is totally useless. You play the COD campaign and nothing else.I never used GeForce Now, but as I remember you can't buy games or dlcs, but only streams PC games you own elsewhere, like in Steam. So Nvidia wouldn't lose anything.
This stuff should be circulated everywhere, everyone needs to see and understand this....
Any publisher blocking games on GeForce Now is a fucking cunt, they shouldn't even have that right. You bought the game already.I never used GeForce Now, but as I remember you can't buy games or dlcs, but only streams PC games you own elsewhere, like in Steam. So Nvidia wouldn't lose anything.
I'm not 100% sure of how GeForce Now works, but if I understood properly I think would be like this:Then that service is totally useless. You play the COD campaign and nothing else.
Just play on PS5 instead. So lame.
MS in the news appearing as being so generous that they share CoD with everybody. But in reality it's a PR stunt to try to trick the regulators while also making their competitors lose money. But for services like PS Plus, Amazon Luna, or even Netflix games, they would literally LOSE money by having COD on their platform if they can't recoup it with in app purchases.
They are the owners of these games, so they can -or should- avoid other people making money from their games without their permission.Any publisher blocking games on GeForce Now is a fucking cunt, they shouldn't even have that right. You bought the game already.
They never really needed the to win the PR battle.Seriously, the reason Sony is losing the PR battle is because they don't have a Tom Warren or Windows Central. They don't have users sharing information to Reddit or farther afield showing Microsoft's true colors.
It's mostly one way traffic.
Seems that MS was going to allow other cloud gaming platforms CoD during 10 years buuuuut if they give MS 100% of the game/DLC/IAP/passes revenue made there, instead of the 70%:
I assume this means that Sony could have CoD on PS and PS cloud gaming but giving Sony 0% of the game's revenue instead of 30%. It's understandable that Jimbo told them to fuck off.
'We will be in gaming'... for sure, you don't need to shut down the gaming division if an acquisition goes wrong, mr. Nutella. Or is someone at MS tired of losing money with gaming and asking to shut down Xbox?
Is Sony losing PR battle? Can you show an example please?Seriously, the reason Sony is losing the PR battle is because they don't have a Tom Warren or Windows Central. They don't have users sharing information to Reddit or farther afield showing Microsoft's true colors.

Phil is apparently kinda distancing xbox from this merger:
Phil Spencer told Xbox workers at an all-hands this morning that while the Activision deal is an accelerant to the company's gaming strategy, it's not the entirety of it
"The Xbox chief said the acquisition was intended to speed up Microsoft’s gaming plans, but doesn’t represent the entirety of the company’s gaming strategy, which would move ahead even without Activision, the person said
Hold up,
Hold up
They have a strategy?
MS's behavior over the past few months in trying to get approval for the deal, which included previous things like belittling the FTC, have also left a similarly sour taste in my mouth. I was not abjectly against the deal on the grounds it was Microsoft buying them, but I always had reservations because of the precedent it could have set for consolidation if they got approved with little to no remedies applied. The statements I've seen from people like Brad Smith, and from the list of influencers, lawyers etc. who are clearly in their camp online just constantly attacking Sony over mostly BS reasons, kind of also gravitated me towards being against the deal out of the nature of the company making the acquisition.
It's funny, because for as much some diehard Xbox fans make fun of Sony's "This is how you share games." jab, or try to pretend Peter Moore and other Xbox execs in the 360 era didn't do some (friendly) console warring of their own, NONE of that compares to the incidental console warring Microsoft themselves have been doing in trying to get the ABK deal approved. It makes their own efforts with the 360 pale in comparison, and does the same to any of Sony's, NEC's, Nintendo's, or Sega's for that matter. And in some cases that is saying a lot.
The reason I feel that way is because Microsoft, unlike those others, actually found a way to weaponize the console warring mentality through their astroturfing efforts and grassroots social media with content creators, influencers and "ambassadors". They enabled the ridiculous console warring extremism we've seen from diehard Xbox fans and associated content creators, influencers etc. throughout this acquisition process, and some of it got really nasty and hateful. Yet not once did anyone from Xbox disavow any of it, because they, and Microsoft (and ABK), were probably counting on it, and as we can see through certain statements like those from Brad Smith today (or Kotick yesterday)...they have a similar mentality themselves.
That can turn me away quicker than Craig and RedFall ever could.
I agree 1000%! All those companies who wanted to stick it to Sony out of pure spite especially Nintendo look like idiots now and can suck a fat one!Totally disgusting. Worst are the companies that agreed to the 10 year deal just to stick it to sony(nintendo). I hope sony locks up SE and Capcom and tell nintendo to go eat shit.
Sony is not losing any PR battle, though, because it doesn’t exist.Seriously, the reason Sony is losing the PR battle is because they don't have a Tom Warren or Windows Central. They don't have users sharing information to Reddit or farther afield showing Microsoft's true colors.
