Ive seen it said its in the contract of the deal that the CMA have to approve it.It's pretty funny how many people keep pushing this implausible and unrealistic idea that MS need to just pull out of the UK and force the deal through thay way.
Yep, just one more reason why their "solutions" won't work.Ive seen it said its in the contract of the deal that the CMA have to approve it.
I don't think it's that. Acquiring an interest would be for example buying a % of stocks. I doubt this regulates exclusives, which is something the market at large allows for all.LMAO, MS got cut off making call of duty marketing deals according with deals. True Icarus myth big tech version right there, people.
It's not only that. They're essentially blocked to invest in the company. They can't even publish an exclusive games by them.I don't think it's that. it's related just to ABK and m$.I just read the document. I wouldn't agree with this. It's intentionally vague to an extent, but I sincerely doubt acquiring temporary exclusivity or marketing for a game is encapsulated in "interest".
If the CMA blocks them, It would actually be a problem: either the CMA enforcer similar bans on timed exclusives or marketing deals for everybody else, or Microsoft can rightfully claim that this distorts the market.
So again... I'd be careful with such statements. I'm more than willing to be corrected by a lawyer since I'm not one.
Yep. I still believe in my understanding and it makes sense since making such agreements would essentially mean the same exclusivity, but without the acquisition.it's related just to ABK and m$.

But of course, I could be wrong.

Not yet. But it certainly bothers the pro acquistion cheerleaders that the UK government gives the CMA huge backing.I dont think the UK has offcially given them more power yet? I saw where the UK's equivalent of congress has to yet vote on it?
They're farming clicks! We still have random articles popping up from people who really want this deal to happen. Exactly how many people have shares in ABK? lol
This person seems to think that there's no chance that ABK investors abandon the deal after the cutoff date and that behavioral remedies are more than enough. It's kind of annoying how many people are coming out of the woodworks to try and gaslight everyone over why MS should be allowed to try and buy their way to dominance.

Activision games look important for Microsoft to get a stronger foothold in the gaming market in the long run. See why ATVI and Microsoft are both Holds.seekingalpha.com
Their deal runs out with PS soon. After all the disrespect. Lobbying and PS shooters coming. Theyare gonna get buried in the PS store. Now they can't get marketing deals from MS .LMAO, MS got cut off making call of duty marketing deals according with deals. True Icarus myth big tech version right there, people.
