so the judge pretended to site with MS and ruled favoring the CMA?in ERA think the hearing occurring from the 24th of July onwards is a win. Hey, dumbfucks: The deal is dead from the 18th of July unless shareholders approve an extension. This is not a win, it's a loss. The judge pretty much fully sided with the CMA and allowed them for a load of flexibility + agreed with them on Microsoft being cheeky in providing a small timeline to review the documentation.

Yes.
The judge was very cheeky. He reached a compromise: The CMA wanted October, Microsoft wanted 17th of July (for obvious reasons). The ordered the 24th of July for the beginning of proceedings, running over a fortnight (14 days, or 10 business days).
Basically, unless MS and ABK renegotiate, deal is dead, it's done. The judge killed it, which is why Mr Beard is very and understandably upset right now.

They are now bringing the cloud vs console SLC, and why the CMA alluded to a console SLC and then dropped it. Also mentioned that the EU has a different view of the cloud market, which is again, a lie. The EU determined that it is indeed a market and the definition is similar, but they didn't agree that it was a base for blocking the deal.
Do you remember where? I remember seeing something in one of the mountains of documents surrounding this case indicating that ABK were looking at putting things on streaming but I don't remember where I saw it.

I'd need to go back to the CMAs decision, but if you check for "cloud" in the PDF, I believe you will find it. I can't at the moment.

ABK lawyer basically implied that if this is not done within their desired timeline, the deal is at risk. Seems to me like ABK will be pulling out if this extends beyond the 18th.
Yeah. When it gets sent back to the CMA i'd imagine that would add a bit of time on as well, and that's ignoring any possible extension that gets granted.
I'd imagine the next hearing which is in june, MS may not argue too hard if CMA asked for a further extension as they are going to have to renegotiate the deal with ABK anyway.
I think there's simply no way for deal to go through anymore. It's done.
I hope the judge sticks with his ruling. It's not fair to the cma to make the time frame shorter than that.

Agreed. There's already a massive compromise here.
When they said this would take half a day, did they mean half a business day or half a full day?
Only way I see this going on is if ABK negotiates a new deal for like 120$ per share and 10 billion breakup fee, and if MS is dumb enough to go for it.
The regulators who blocked/sued will still block/sue the new deal.
So yeah, fuck MS and anything attached.
