Where’s the actual hate speech. I don’t give a shit enough about this but from what I gather it just replaced pride flag with US flag. That’s not hate speech. Nor is it spreading hate speech when the users that would take offense are not the ones downloading that content. Are they sadists?

If there’s more to it then that’s a different story but I don’t see how removing a texture is causing so much drama

Awesome I hope those other places are a little less neurotic about what people choose to do with their own games. It's absurd to care about what someone else does in their own copy of a game that doesn't impact anyone else's copy.

It all boils down to what the site OWNERS want on their site.
They OWN the site and they decide what is and what isn't acceptable.
People are free to upload the mod on other sites.

I don’t have the game or the mod.

But that is the summary that I got reading…
- Mod created an alt account.
- Created and uploaded a mod where the description was a clear jab at pride community.
- These that installed the mod related that flags where replaced by American’s flag, Ucranian’s flag, Text with offenses to the pride community.
- Community got enraged for obvious reasons.
- Mod got removed.
- He uploaded a new mod with even more insults.
- Mod got removed.
- Again uploaded a new version with more text insults.
- Got banned.
- Nexus intervened and decided they don’t accept that type of mods there.
- Nexus did investigation and discovered the actual modder and banned him too.

I will try to find some text that were in the new flags.

How can anybody defend the modder is out of my mind even being anti-LGBT.

I think you have it backwards, the people crying were the ones who felt action was necessary to ruin other people's merrymaking rather than exercise their right to choose the things they consume and avoid that which they don't like.

1. We don't care about you and your silly sad homophobic feelings
2. We don't tolerate homophobes and homophobic content

I have mixed feelings about the flag mod myself but nothing homophobic! Don't read into my brain farts too much
Someone being ACTUALLY offended aside from usual white knights is enough of a proof that they had some right to remove the mod.

Number 2 means you absolutely do care about number 1 to the degree that a mod that doesn't even have hateful content in it is deemed unacceptable to share. The mod is a content swap and the swap in can not be considered "homophobic/transphobic content" in any sense. You are ok with not allowing people to opt in to something which allows them to not view something they don't want to see. And by all means, exercise the power you wield to shape the world how you want it, imo it's just opening more eyes, they just might not tell you what they really think for fear of the gaystapo
