The problem with Crook Spencer (and his crook company) is that they want to beat Sony. That's their sole motivation. They don't care about anything else and it's painfully obvious to everyone after this interview.

If great games could turn it around for them why would it even matter anyway? They don't have great games and won't have them anytime soon.

Like what else? GTA, RE, MGS, SH, SF, MegaMan, MonHun, Sports titles even MLB, Day 1 GP games vs buying on PS like Outriders, all multiplaform. Is he that butthurt over Demons Souls and BloodBourne? Dark Souls & Elden Ring is still multiplaform?
Meanwhile they've PS have lost the relationships and seen whole series like Yakuza and Persona go multiplaform re-releases etc.

Phil leaving won't save xbox. I believe most of xbox problems are rooted in the overall corporate culture.
Same corporate culture that kept Phil Spencer in charge of Xbox games for the past 15 years regardless of the results.

Who knows? I doubt anything huge like a gta or monster hunter would be exclsuive but maybe konami and more square games are? He's a petty and trying to look weak to appease regulators so who knows?
Phil's message is pretty clear. It's not about selling the most consoles worldwide. They have a different business model. It's about cloud gaming and Game Pass subs.
Soon they're going to own Activision-Blizzard and then Sega or Capcom (or both). Game Pass will dominate the gaming market (Netflix of Gaming) with Game Pass and with consoles in the USA.
The rest doesn't matter.

I've not seen the full video yet, but are you saying the first major interview he gave agree being denied the merger based on cloud... Is to say their business model is cloud gaming and GP subs?
I need to watch in full, that sounds incredibly stupid to highlight or say outright. Is this some kind of money laundering 3B kickback to ABK somehow? No one involved seems to be acting like in ways that would make it go through.

Amazon is the exception as it isn't backed up with physical hardware outside the firestick.
How would Xbox advertise Xcloud? It doesn't fill people with confidence if they can the xbox console then advertise a streaming service where you own nothing.
Notice how anytime Japan is mentioned they start with this "away team" and foreigner rhetoric, same thing they told their US senators to say about Sony. How about they actually act like the multi national company they are and hire localization experts in those countries, instead of crying that they're some poor american company that will never be respected.
