How PS5 has 93% marketshare over XS in France?
Currently it's 93/7 for the end of this year from what I understand, but before that it was more like ~90/10 according to oscar lemaire (ludostrie). It's just about sales in 2023.

There have been estimates for France from January to September, but I have no idea whether they're reliable or not :

PS5: 750.000
NSW: 480.000
X/S: 103.000

Where it’s at.
Confusing name that doesn't differentiate at all from One S and One X
Bland console design
Weaker than PS5
Stupid as shit multi SKU at launch
Literally no games which gained any mass interests for 3 years since launch until Starfield which floppeda
That coming off a whole generation with games
Anti consumer consolidation methods
Perpetual undermining of the value proposition of games, making releases lose impact (see Netflix movie vs theatre movie releases for more - or a million studies done on perceptions of low value for low priced products)

I'm shocked it is doing poorly

It must be the Xbox Tax
Don’t forget the huge blow to the hype for Series and to Xbox’s reputation caused by the last-minute delay of Halo: Infinite for a full year!

If ever there was one fatal blow that can be pointed to as destroying the credibility of Xbox, that delay would be it. How the fuck can you blow development on your flagship series’ launch entry for a new generation?

The fact that there was nothing worthwhile for MS to fill that gap with is doubly damning, but on its own, that delay was a huge black eye with all the merchandising and partner promo tie-ins that only made the delay more humiliating. They even had to pay penalties to some of their partners over it.

And yet somehow I bet Tigerfish or UraMallus, or Riky or Mauler X, are talking about acquisitions again saying this would justify MS trying to buy more big publishers.

Because, you know, it's TOTALLY the lack of studios why they're being outsold > 9:1 in a lot of these foreign markets. Not Microsoft's history of extremely poor marketing, localization, and software releases appealing to the larger mainstream market (or having consistent quality).

It's horrible news for them. They have zero meaningful presence on PC. So yeah they are basically on their way to being a third party publisher with a mobile game

This doesn't mean much since Microsoft got fleeced, no one is paying close to 69 billion for ABK anymore, its now worth 40bill at most and thats being generous.

The "Nintendo fan" rushing to Xbox's defense as usual 😂🤡

This is false, like @Yobo said, their PC presence is minuscule. PC GamePass is operating at a loss and has pretty much already reached its limit and their games barely sell on Steam. Mobile has always been a joke, ABK will improve it a lot, but not enough to be significant. And by Microsoft's own admission, almost no one is using xCloud. 99% of people don't want to play Starfield, Forza, and CoD through the cloud on their phone or TV. Their only avenue for growth is the console, they NEED to sell more consoles, so yes it's still awful news for them.

This same post was made at Era word for word and a lot of people in that thread accused the poster of being a Microsoft shill because it reads like PR, either you're the same person, a shill reading from the same script (more likely) or mocking the Era post.
Guys i copy/pasta some Xbox cultist from resetera. It’s the new “im an expert in japan” copy pasta. It’s a joke lol

Exclusives aint gonna help, people dont want Xbox. Have MS ever made a successful hardware that people wanted?
If they have had them on a consistent basis at this point they would be getting the dividend.

Their hardware is competitive this gen... But software wise they just never showed up.

Hardware never showed up either, they dont have haptic, their ssd work different from PS5, no vr, and no Portal. So how exactly is their hardware offering considered competitive?

It's way more viable than the xbone was. All these features don't mean much this gen... the overall experience with third party titles is just so close.

The haptic and other stuff are overall not what's making the difference.

However, the oversold the relative performance of their box, so overall this is a resounding victory by Sony.

Hahahahahahaha, fucking hell. Why make a moron out of yourself like this? You say the U.S. is Xbox's market? because it's getting slaughtered there too.

Also, kids play on phones, not PCs.

Some very interesting statements.

Rand "America is Xbox's market".... being down 52% in Europe doesn't matter.

Jez "kids want to game on pc and don't care about console anymore"

Jizz is partly right that kids are choosing PC as their preferred platform due to streamers and e-sports. But that’s still no excuse for abysmal hardware sales and it’s also not stopping a ton of kids from still wanting PS5s.

Rand acting like it’s not a big deal is hilarious, yeah Xbox was never as big as Sony in Europe but still selling significantly worse than even the XB1 is pathetic.

The “BuT tHeY hAvE DifFerRenT bUsIneSs mOdElS!!!” is the saddest cope ever. Xbox still makes >80% of their revenue from the console, their PC presence has been a failure for the last 7 years. xCloud is irrelevant as well, without improved console sales, they’re finished.

Funny how that "different business model" is failing as well.

Fine, ignore hardware sales. Let's see how GP is doing. Oh shit, it's stagnating and they haven't met a goal since it released.

Is there any evidence to suggest that Microsoft is making up for whatever they’ve lost on the traditional market with what they’re pushing for now? That is to say for example, by pushing streaming and mobile phones, will gta for example sell as many copies as it normally would have on the Xbox ecosystem just spread across different platforms?
