This studio has mainly people from mostly Bungie, Respawn, Treyarch, Blizzard, Redstorm, ArenaNet and Hi-Rez.

But also at least someone from the following top AAA/GaaS/mobile companies: Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, Raven, Activision (some related to CoD & Destiny on a corporate level), Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Insomniac, Bluepoint, Sony Visual Arts, SOE, Ready at Dawn, Supermassive, Zipper, Camouflaj, Deviation, Wizards of the Coast, Epic, Riot, 343, Turn 10, Bethesda, The Initiative, Undead Labs, Arkane Austin, CCP, Creative Assembly, Platinum Games, Embark, Valve (DOTA 2), Gearbox, NetherRealm, Wargaming, Turtle Rock, Ubisoft, Bioware, Firaxis, 2K, Crystal Dynamics, Rocksteady, Climax, Rebellion, Oddworld, NC Soft, Netease or Niantic.

And people from animation companies like Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar or WB Animation.

There's a lot of talent and expertise there.

This is a nothing website that is mixing quotes from the sketchiest of leaks with statements from the writer. Why do we care that Kes Eylers-Stephenson thinks "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most underrated PS5 games so far". It's stretching as far as you possibly can for clicks.

Feels like we haven't had a decent event in ages. I miss the early days of PS5 when I believed Sony was hiding their hand, now it's pretty obvious that their games are taking way longer to be made this gen with many of them in dev hell most likely.
Agreed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but we’re almost half way through the generation now.
Havent invested enough to speed up game developement or not wanted to. This is why I want them to buy a big publisher or a few studios to make up for games taking longer to make. FromSoft and Capcom, seem to be releasing games just fine, aswell as Insomniac

Hmmm although games are taking longer I think it was a shift in management overall delaying some of these games and them being focused on GAAS. Looks to have come to an end though so who knows.

Lets hope so. If they did this during a time like PS3 vs 360 era it would of damaged them alot.
I dont mind them focusing on Gaas too. But they really should of done Gaas as an extra/bonus and not neglected what was also in flow and doubled down on what made them successful. Either way its not been managed well

I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a long time but it got really weird in 2023. Way too many studios with nothing announced and we know that they don't announce and release game in short windows, Sony was not hiding their hand, these games seems to be tanking an unholy amount of time to be shown.

Insomniac and SE have been bailing Sony out, pretty much none of the other studios has managed to ship a non crossgen AAA game or even announce one. Even their GaaS games like Concord or Fairgame$ were not properly shown.

Ever since Hermen Hulst took over something doesn't feel right, I'm afraid he might be Sony's Phil Spencer in term of incompetence. The more time passes the worst things get under him and Jim Ryan. Nothing exciting, no big announcements, no hype, no communication, I can't understand how that makes any sense for a console that has all this momentum.

Seems like every studio spent the last few years working on canceled games and PC ports.

Games taking longer to be made doesn't apply only to Sony or GaaS, applies to all companies and to all big games. It hapens every generation, because games get bigger, more detailed and with more features and content, and new technologies and techniques that appear and need to be researched, learnt, prototyped and implemented. All these things means more work needed to be done.

They are not focused on GaaS, the majority of their games released or under development aren't GaaS. Remember that when they said they had ten (or twelve later when bought Bungie) they mentioned to have MORE THAN 25 games under development, so the 12 GaaS were a minority of them.

A lot of these studios havent released a gmae in 4-5 years, its getting beyond frustrating right now.

And the thing is, once their games are revealed, we are probably looking at at least a 2 year window before release like Spider-man 2 got.

Death Stranding 2 revealed late 2022 and we are already in 2024 with no release window announced.

Alot of different factors, I digress.

At this rate, by the PS6 gen any game that starts development after they get the dev kits will release only for the PS7. Longer dev cycles are a choice, not everything needs to be an open world with a 70h campaign.

How come Insomniac, a company that just a few years ago were in terrible shape needing to sell, can release 2 current gen only games, a crossgen game and a remaster while studios that have all the resources in the world can't release a new game? Something ain't right.

I hate we have to wait mid gen to get most exclusives.

We are pretty much mid gen already and they are nowhere to be seen. PS5 release in 2020, we are 2024 and the next one should be out in 2027 or 2028 at the latest.

Yeah man, I know games are bigger, grandor and more complicated but if it comes at the cost of waiting most of the gen then most games shouldn't even be that way.

The early stages to get 10%+ marketshare in the Gaas game section.I was always convinced over this studio than deviation. I always thought they had the sleeper game. Not sure about that fair games Jade Redmond studio. But the talent and tech was probably key to their purchase. The Google tech was serious & really worked.Just Bad, timing, bad packaging and delivered poorly to consumers.

With activision in turmoil. No more marketing dollars from PS. PS just need to have good showcase of their games. And start buryingCOD to the back of the store. Promote your games front and centre.

Thank god for the ignore list, dude has to be using ChatGPT to write so much boring texts.

ND is the one that hurts me the most, in the past we would already have their first next gen only game out and the next one already announced. We got a remake that they finished instead and a canceled multiplayer game.

The next was of AAA PlayStation games we'll need to be out of this world to justify so much waiting and secrecy.
