Exactly. I know the difference. Im asking for Sony to give the other studios the facilities to do the same. Simple.
Give them enough people to do it
As I mentioned they are already doing it.
During the Jimbo+Hermen era all their teams have been growing and most of them are working in more games at the same time that they did before. We have confirmed that Guerrilla, ND, SSM, Polyphony, Firesprite, XDEV, Nixxes or Bungie have more teams than they had before that era. And they all, not only these studios mentioned specifically, continue growing.
But to hire a full AAA team needs time, and to develop a AAA game even more. A longer period of time that when the Jimbo + Hermen era started. We'll see the results of this growth in the future.
As an example, ignoring their remasters/remakes/ports/movie or tv show adaptations, ND was only working on a single big game: TLOU2 until in the last year they branched out the MP mode to turn it into a standalone game. When they announed the TLOU cancellation we knew they were working on at least 2 single player games. So they were working on at least 3 main games at the same time (not counting remasters/remakes/ports).
But out of the 2 or more SP games they have under development, we know that the one they had more time under development started maximum when they completed their job in TLOU2, so it has been under development maximum 3 years and a half. Nowadays AAA games take at least 5-6 years to be developed, meaning pretty likely we're
minimum a couple years from its release.
Then they have other one under development that has been less time under development, so will be released later. And then the people from TLOU Online may have been put to help their other at least SP games, or may be starting a third SP game.
