Looks like a disastrously low-selling portable PC. What is it?
We entered the GaaS era two decades ago. The majority of the gaming userbase plays GaaS and the majority of game revenue comes from GaaS.
No, the chart I've linked here correlates to spend. It's the share of payers (not players) per platform. Note how few of those enormous record-breaking MAUs actually fork over anything. The entire console market is fragmented between 3 systems meanwhile since PC is more centralized, every storefront counts for one. I wasn't talking about storefronts (because even the chart you linked wasn't talking about them but the playerbase), I was talking about how 1 platform was pretty close to the playerbase of console which is 3. If you removed Xbox (which probably accounts for 5-10% of the console playerbase) PC would be around equal to consoles in terms of younger gens.
This simple fact is why those charts mean nothing to me- It's one platform against 3 and you're acting like that's a fair fight?
oh and btw dying platforms dont break their MAU records frequently bro. spend this, money that, people are joining PC at a speedy rate and that's hard to deny.
All f2p games, I believe, with add-on subs like Minecraft Realms. Essentially little ecosystems unto themselves. Sony will need to remove the PS+ paywall, if the old PS4 era status quo of "don't pay PS+ for f2p games" has changed.Check the MAU for Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, and Warzone (all on XBox) compared to PlayStations MAU.
My point is that in 10 years, those MAU numbers are going to skyrocket in GAAS. PlayStation 6 sales won't.All f2p games, I believe, with add-on subs like Minecraft Realms. Essentially little ecosystems unto themselves. Sony will need to remove the PS+ paywall, if the old PS4 era status quo of "don't pay PS+ for f2p games" has changed.
It's the machine sony decided to support with all of their ports.Looks like a disastrously low-selling portable PC. What is it?
Sony is already launching games on PC... but how they dare to even market them thereYes, these are exclusively on steam deck, but they're just video files and can easily be repurposed.
All this is is to promote their games, its not that deep.
Lmao this is funny. PS fans don’t keep the same energy when Xbox release there games on PS yet here is PS doing the same thing.Yes, these are exclusively on steam deck, but they're just video files and can easily be repurposed.
All this is is to promote their games, its not that deep.
It is more about to sell their games not Steam Deck.
BTW PlayStation PC marketing team is probably different from the PlayStation console marketing team.
The PlayStation PC marketing team needs to find ways to market PlayStation games on PC no matter what the console side is doing or think.
They are doing their job.
No matter if you think PlayStation is killed themselves or how you hate Sony releasing games on PC... the PC marketing team needs to market games released/releasing on PC.
BTW the choose to have these ads (you have to pay for them) is decided game by game basis by the team.
And it has nothing related to what the other console market team did or not did.
"PlayStation PC marketing team" ....
Sony has sub-division for PC releases and that includes a team focused in marketing these releases."PlayStation PC marketing team" ....
Minecraft is most definitely not free to playAll f2p games, I believe, with add-on subs like Minecraft Realms. Essentially little ecosystems unto themselves. Sony will need to remove the PS+ paywall, if the old PS4 era status quo of "don't pay PS+ for f2p games" has changed.
we are blaming themIf you want to blame someone for porting games on PC then you should blame PlayStation Studios because Cory Barlog stated that PlayStation Studios asked Sony to port their games on PC
God of War's Cory Barlog says PlayStation studios convinced Sony to put games on PC
Though really, it seems like it was only a matter of time.www.pcgamer.com
