Why didn't Spencer openly specify that it was three years beyond the end of the current agreements? Instead, he said "several". Several suggests way more than three. And is intended for PR alone.
Several generally means more than two, and used in conversation almost always means three. Quit talking that BS.

They were having private talks about it to try make it good for both sides, Phil came out with what he thinks will be good for PR before they came to an agreement .

What one PR guy understood to be private talks doesn’t make the other PR guy a liar.

Losing cod will be a big hit, but jim isn't doing any favours by some moves his making to give the platform a more negative perception.

As kratos said be better, use this as a chance to make the platform better and take financial Ls here and there to be more consumer firendly. I get it, this to maybe put something into the mind of the regulators, but they also need to prepare for a codless world.

Also let's be real here, the only one who is shook by this acquisition is Sony. They already tried to black ball it once by going in the complete opposite direction as the rest of the industry in their view of the importance of Call of Duty.

This is just the last ditch effort by an insecure company head trying to sabotage someone else gaining success beyond their own. Jim Ryan can eat shit with this pathetic theatrical drama.

Surprised good guy phil hasnt tweeted anything out yet to "reassure gamers." Hes usually pretty quick on the draw when he wants to play good guy.
I guess he's not really that interested in reassuring PS gamers. His fans are already salivating to the max with the mere idea of playing CoD Infinite exclusively on Xbox

I don’t get the liar talk. Spencer said the offer was for several more years. Or at least several more. Which would include three.
Stop sucking to Xbox.

Here is how Phil was implying that COD will remain multiplatform forever. Until Jim Ryan now called his lying ass out.

And here is how Smith lied in this blog post. Where did they ever mention 3 years?

"Our large investment to acquire Activision Blizzard further strengthens our resolve to remove this friction on behalf of creators and gamers alike. We want to enable world-class content to reach every gamer more easily across every platform."

First, some commentators have asked whether we will continue to make popular content like Activision’s Call of Duty available on competing platforms like Sony’s PlayStation. The obvious concern is that Microsoft could make this title available exclusively on the Xbox console, undermining opportunities for Sony PlayStation users.

To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation through the term of any existing agreement with Activision. And we have committed to Sony that we will also make them available on PlayStation beyond the existing agreement and into the future so that Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love. We are also interested in taking similar steps to support Nintendo’s successful platform.

We believe this is the right thing for the industry, for gamers and for our business.

Where did it mention that "future" only means 3 years? They were lying and now Jim has rightly called them out.

Right thing for the industry my ass.

He is just drafting his lies and gathering his army of minions that can suck him and swallow his lies, making that fake ass bullshiter and failure the good guy and the savior of the industry.

Xbox gamers shouldn’t worry too much about the deal going through. They’ll still get the games one way or the other.

Well, in fairness, they aren't technically lying... but they are being slimy, deceptive, and insincere and acting like complete shit-eaters... but they ain't lying.

What did he lie about? Let's see those receipts.

It's transparent by now that all some people care about is future games of multiplatform franchises being removed from certain platforms. They have become so envious and petty that they consider taking games away from others better than having new unique games.

At least back in the 360 days, Xbox brought its own games.

You know, PlayStation was created out of spite for Nintendo. I wonder if this kerfuffle is going to create something else from PlayStation.
