Yuh PS5 gen gonna be the last between incompetence leadership, directionless vision & lack of focus of increasing PS first party exclusives & pc ports I’m better of migrating to PC & using Steamdeck or Nintendo for Japanese games/indies

If they’re just gonna show 2 first party games in the next showcase those likely being Astro Bot & GOT 2 & 2-3 live service assuming Concord, Horizon online & Fairgames all slated for 2025 that would be disappointing we need to see atleast the next 3 years. I haven’t been more disengage & trusting in the PS brand I’d say it’s worse then PS3 600$ get 2 jobs atleast we new they where committed to PS & there first party lineup of singleplayer & multiplayer games years ahead & back then those games where permanent exclusive so there was little leniency to spare but now there nothing more then a Xbox just at a slower pace. I can't remember many games from PS being announced with CG trailers. Maybe FF7 Remake.... but not many and their reputation soared during PS4, so I don't get it....

I think most were stuck doing love service crap and are running into dev issues. I don't think they all have secret ambitious single player projects ready for 2025.

Pretty dumb because when you announce games, you have more hype for your console. More games = more hype.

Also it gives alot of people a reason to buy a console when they know more games are coming in the future and being supported more.

The thing is us as consumers & gamers understand PS been needing more studios since MS acquired Zenimax the acquisition of Square Enix should’ve been made a long time ago maybe we wouldn’t have had a empty 2023 & 2024. PS couldve announce a Parasite EVE remake, Chrono Trigger remake maintainea true to its for similar to Mario RPG remake a Xenogears reboot, a new Neir game & heavily promo that PS is the home for Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest & you’d see a boost in sales in general but a boost in Japan. Oh & maybe get Kindom Hearts exclusively if not the marketing.

Kadokawa/Fromsoft is another no brsiner acquisition not just the studio is heavily associated w PS & birthing souls like but Kadokawa has a ton of manga & anime studios that could bolster PS production produce more & faster content as PS gain scale & more ip.

Hoyoverse mobile, China, Asia in general & presence in live service & mobile + ip

Want to expand? Do the same & look at Nintendo there singleplayer ten pole games will never release on other platform but they will explore live service w mobile Pokémon unite, Mario kart are either exclusive to mobile or release on Nintendo console & mobile. Nintendo expand franchise through cross media & parks methods that don’t devalue or harm the console ever & is the smart way of expanding & incrasing profit by other means that don’t requires diminishing Nintendo consoles.

As someone who’s solely been a PS gamer & owned every PS console since PS2 it’s pretty crazy PS has open my horizon exploring PC gaming more & by the end of the gen I’d likely be fully PC. PS5 will be the last PS console I likely buy & I’ll skip out on PS6 no need to pay $500 on a console + $70 time exclusive first party + $80 times 7 for a online paywall when I can pay $1500 on a PC that will last 20 years, cheaper games deep discount, no online paywall + getting Xbox & PC games that don’t go to PS & Steam exclusive that Valve will never port to PS + technically Nintendo + mods. PC & Nintendo is the combo for gaming sadly PS put themselves in the same position as Xbox just much slower & much delayed the same critics PS fans give Xbox is now the same to a much lesser extent the same critics Xbox gamers & all other gamers like PC, Nintendo & PS gamers can give about PS you really don’t need a PS it’s no longer mandatory where PC & Nintendo can’t be said the same. Nintendo and Mobile have an Iron grip on Gen Z, nobody from Gen z is going to want an Xbox. Xbox is for boomers at this point.

When it comes to gaming people my age prefer Smash Bros or other party games like Mario Kart 8.
