Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Review & OT "The hardest battles are fought in the mind, not with the sword".

As much as we laugh at GamePass, this is a very Gamepass game. I've been playing it a bit this morning, but the whole time I'm thinking to myself "Why the hell would I spend $50 on this when I can play $1 to rent it on Gamepass and beat it in 1-2 sessions?"

Based on the tiny Steam player numbers at the moment, it looks like most other people are thinking the same thing. Just a few weeks ago, someone on here tried to argue with me that this game was gonna sell well.

Just imagine you are in your local Walmart I guess its called in USA and you buy hellblade expecting something like God of war from a combat perspective, get home, install, play and then.............


WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS.

And yep, for game pass, this is perfect.

i think, the worst part is, that it isn't through whole game, but you do it for whole chapter just that.

The same people saying the (heavily) scripted combat in this game is fantastic and super well animated were the same people that shat in the combat in The Last of Us 2.

Hellblade 2 combat looks so bad, it's like there's frame skips between animations. What a piece of trash.

I have zero interest in playing this. The first game was pure torture, and for all measurements other than graphics, this looks to be more of the same, but watered down.

Had I not cancelled my Game Pass in response to the Tango and Arkane Austin closures I’d probably be playing this. Guess I’ll never know what this game is like, at least not until it hits $10

Very impressive that a game you can watch and basically not miss anything considering every playthrough will look about the same is being labeled a modern gaming masterpiece by these idiots.

I recommend changing the dodge to "B" and block to "LB". Block as "RB" just feels weird. Also, sometimes you don't realize you can move because there isn't that cutscene to player pause or camera motion. If you feel like you have been sitting there too long, it means you need to push your stick forward.

Decades set them apart... not just a generation.
HB2 combat doesn't even compare to first Uncharted combat.
