Sony has agreed to a deal for Call of Duty with Microsoft to keep the franchise on PlayStation after the proposed Activision Blizzard acquisition. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer says Sony and Microsoft have agreed to a “binding agreement” to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. It’s not immediately clear if this is a 10-year deal, like Microsoft has signed with Nintendo and other cloud providers.

This ends a bitter battle between the companies that has been waged both privately and publicly over the past year after Microsoft announced its proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January 2022.

We are pleased to announce that Microsoft and @PlayStation have signed a binding agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. We look forward to a future where players globally have more choice to play their favorite games.

But the sleazeball won't say for how many years. They truth is they don't want COD to remain on PS for long.

Exactly what do you propose they do at this point?

Wait until the CMA does it’s final decision? And even then they still shouldn’t sign any “deal” with fucking MS. COD will be leaving PlayStation regardless.

Oh and about all those other Activision games? Yeah good luck with that being on PlayStation anymore either.

It's entirely likely that behind the scenes, MS, the CMA and Sony already know what's gonna happen in the next couple of days.
