This is much more in-line with what I picture if someone says PS1 themed controller to me.

Why hasn't Sony released this to the public? Are they waiting for the 30th anniversary?

Probably a few employees made it as a gift to Jimbo. It's just a PS5 and Dual Sense in other colors (someone could have disassembled it and painted it), with apparently a 3D printer cable connector cover to simulate the PS1 one.

But very likely they'll make a fancier commercial version for the 30th anniversary. Or at least themed DualSense and plates.
