From the major Sony leak.
In Q1 they will reveal a big acquisition.
The target is apparently S***** E***
Is any of that verified as real/part of the leak? If not, please stop spreading misinformation.

Yeah I've yet to see it from any other source besides him. If it was actually part of the hack, it'd be on reddit/gaf/reset by now.His track record is that he is full of shit.
These two situations aren't mutually exclusive. They can close down a studio and still buy a publisher. hell, it makes even more sense as they're cutting cost.Guys don’t get your hopes up, Sony wont buy anything.
More layoffs and a studio closure coming to SIE
According to this documentation from Insomniac that leaked https://kotaku.com/what-hacked-files-tell-us-about-the-studio-behind-spide-1851115233 This is dated from this november Business plans change, and Sony would not confirm if the discussed cuts are still on the table or already...icon-era.com
I didn’t know it was the document of Smith Alex. I found it on Reddit, which said thread was deleted. Regardless of Alex Smith I have heard from different sources that Sony will have big acquisition in Q1 FY24.Is any of that verified as real/part of the leak? Sony will make big acquisitions, they'll buy SE, Sony will have a great showcase, Sony is holding back great announcement... we have heard it again and again for years at this point. It's tiresome.I didn’t know it was the document of Smith Alex. I found it on Reddit, which said thread was deleted. New Fiscal year begins in Japan at April 1st 2024. Q1 = April, May and June. So we should hear news there if the reports are correct.
I never said it was a deal between Tecmo and Sony. I suggest you the read the more detailed post I linked from other thread, where I explain who these guys are and what these deals are (not to bring gatchas to console).Thank you for the info but you and Kiryu are the only ones excited about this.
As I said this is not a deal between Tecmo and Sony to get stuff like Wild Hearts, Dead or Alive, Nioh and Ninja Gaiden.
It's a deal for Akatsuki to bring their gacha games (maybe developed by Tecmo) to consoles. The lack of any interest and discussion regarding this news is very telling.

Dudes will never get tired of dooming and will never comprehend the fact that these things take years. Like children who want the candy RIGHT NOW.I didn’t know it was the document of Smith Alex. If he ever gets something right he is going to be riding on it forever. He said that Insomniac was negotiating Ghost Rider, "soon you'll play Sunset Overdrive in PS5", "Wolverine will have a DLC with Hulk", Sony is acquiring Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Take 2, the rights to films and series from Konami's ips: Castlevania, Metal Gear and Silent Hill (he doesn't seem to know Sony already is working on a MGS movie), "Hermen Hulst visited CD Projekt multiple times in the last few months" etc.
He's constantly lying.
Here he calls the leaked Wolverine "an Alpha version", when it's a vertical slice or a first playable. Very far from being an Alpha version:He said that Insomniac was negotiating Ghost Rider, "soon you'll play Sunset Overdrive in PS5", "Wolverine will have a DLC with Hulk", Sony is acquiring Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Take 2, the rights to films and series from Konami's ips: Castlevania, Metal Gear and Silent Hill (he doesn't seem to know Sony already is working on a MGS movie), "Hermen Hulst visited CD Projekt multiple times in the last few months" etc.

Which leads to think he never worked in a AAA studio as a dev, even if he claims in his bio to be a former dev from Deviation, Bend and Ember Lab. And obviously there's no "Alex Smith" in the game credits of Kena or the last 4 Bend games.
No, it's a vertical slice, with a work in progress prototype of the second playable character (meaning, they were starting with her) and the block out of one of the hub areas (meaning, they didn't have completed even the first one) of the game. Screenshot from the build's main menu:It IS an Alpha version of the game. The guy's full of it but still.
We can scratch them from Sony’s list. This makes Sony’s first big buy more likely to be based in Japan.
CDPR was a hoax. But for the likes of Square there are persistent rumours ongoing. I wouldn’t declare it as cope, it’s too early to judge on that as final.I told yall it was never going to happen Sony x CDPR acquisition makes ZERO sense. A Square Enix acquisition will never happen either, yall gotta get off the hopium, no offense.
That's all well and good but being part of an First party studio organisation takes off a lot of weight off your chest and makes you instantly richI told yall it was never going to happen Sony x CDPR acquisition makes ZERO sense. A Sega acquisition would've been possible after Persona 5's success while it was still exclusive. Sony and Sega had an amazing relationship and partnership before Jim/Hermen flushed it down the toilet. Now there's probably a 3% chance they get Sega, and Square Enix is 0%.CDPR was a hoax. CDPR has plenty of security as it is. If they were able to weather the storm that was CP2077's initial launch, they can deal with anything. They're a publicly traded company worth over 10b dollars lol, they can always issue and sell more shares if they need money or bring in institutional investment. Plus they're backed by the Polish government and receive grants, subsidies, and other federal assistance. Safety isn't a concern at all for them, which is why they just opened up a brand new studio in the US.That's all well and good but being part of an First party studio organisation takes off a lot of weight off your chest and makes you instantly rich
The thinking that sony would commit to CDPR is absolutely right because if you are committing to CDPR you will be committing to PC which they have kind off done with Bungie but it's already a autonomous studio
That could change in future where sony men takeover bungie
